Colon Cleansing Using Natural And Herbal Products

Mar 1, 2008
Herbal products can be used for colon cleansing. Some of these are merely good for use as a laxative, but others are more extensive. The main purpose of these products is to clean the mucilage, clean toxins and harmful bacteria from the colon. This also helps to promote regular evacuation of stool. Herbs can help to improve your overall health, which will also improve your immunity system and help your digestive system get rid of toxins.

One of the most important ingredients in a healthy diet is fiber. This will help your colon to evacuate feces on a regular basis. When you do this your colon will remain much cleaner as it will not have a back log of undigested food rotting in your digestive system. Surprisingly enough the average American or western person can have a backlog of 8 meals backed up in the colon. When you eat a healthy fiber rich diet you will only have 3 meals or one day's supply of food in your colon.

Consuming psyllium will help to increase dietary fiber. It is water soluble and is a common laxative. It increases bulk in the stool and causes the bowel or colon to evacuate the stool. It is very necessary for the colon to evacuate stool. Because if it is allowed to stay in the colon it will produce toxins which will start to poison your system as they can be reabsorbed back into the body from the colon. The stool will dry, as it remains longer in the colon and form a blockage. It is important to evacuate stool once per day if possible. The normal dose of psylium is 1-2 tablespoons with meals. This should be taken once or twice per day.

Other natural laxatives include figs and prunes. These have been used from ancient times to help with constipation. These are pleasant tasting and can help you stay regular. Syrup of figs is a fairly strong laxative and is used in emergencies. Prunes on the other hand can be eaten daily to help regulate the bowels and clean the colon. Prunes and their fresh counterpart plums have valuable antitoxins. These help to rid the body, and the colon of toxins. These toxins can increase the risk of cancer.

Herbs and natural products help your body to clean your colon using its own mechanisms rather than artificial means. This makes your whole body stronger and healthier.
