Review Of The Human Touch HT-7450 Zero-Gravity Massage Chair

Mar 15, 2008
Welcome to the world's first zero-gravity massage chair...the Human Touch HT-7450. No, this massage chair does not blast you off into orbit but it does give you the opportunity to take all of the gravitational pressure off of your back at any time throughout the day! As a chiropractor, I have been quite impressed with this chair and the technology behind it. We routinely recommend this chair to anyone that has had any kind of back injury or surgery or any lingering back pain. In the reclined position, pressure is taken off the low back, thus giving you a feeling of decompression. The idea was originally born of the old anti-gravity machines that hung you upside down to take pressure off your low back.

This amazing massage chair not only reclines but as it brings you back it will reposition the back, seat, and feet so that you are tilted back in what is considered a "weightless" position. After a few minutes of lounging in this chair you may feel taller, lighter, and looser than ever!

Its form is sleek and stylish and is tailored in top grain leather. Color options include black and dark reddish brown. It has an adjustable neck-contoured pillow for comfort, and dual-lumbar back heat. A unique feature of this massage chair is the Acupoint Detection System. This is a back scan that activates when you enter in one of the 8 pre-programmed massage selections. The scan accurately determines how tall you are and the areas of stiffness in your back that deserve to be worked by the massage chair rollers. Another feature is the memory foam seat cushion. Not only is the seat of this chair amazingly comfortable but it houses an 8-point Pulsating Seat Massage System. This system is designed to target the key area where there may be pressure points creating pain along the sciatic nerve. It runs along the buttocks and upper hamstrings. For you low back pain sufferers, this will contribute to a holistic healing experience in the low back and sacral area.

The techniques that this massage chair utilizes to create its blissful massage range from rolling, percussion, kneading, and a wonderful combination of kneading and percussion. The HT-7450 massage chair will also vary the width of the rollers to be either closer to your spine or farther away depending on what modality it is using and the size of the user's back. The track is long enough to reach right under the base of your skull to work those nagging pains in your neck, to just above your tail bone area.

Other convenient options this beautiful massage chair includes are the many different adjustments that can be made to it. It virtually fits ANY body. The width of the calf and foot massager is adjustable, as well as the massage intensity. The head pillow is easily extended, retracted, or taken off completely. The ottoman height is adjustable, and the headrest and backrest is adjustable. The intensity of the back massage can be adjusted...it offers seven different levels so it can accommodate all the way from the very sensitive massage client to the thick bodybuilder! The use of the features that have been mentioned above are all at the user's discretion, not mandatory in your personal massage. With a Human Touch massage chair, YOU create the optimal massage chair experience for you!

There are eight different automatic programs that give you a broad range of what this chair can do, depending on how you feel or what time of the day you are using your massage chair (included in those programs is a day and night setting). The day setting is there to get you energized, revitalized, and assist you in getting ready for your day! The night setting is a low-intensity, gentle massage to allow you the time to decompress from your day and get you ready for a great night's sleep! These are just two examples of the programs it offers. If you choose to bypass the auto settings there are several manual choices you can choose to fine tune a massage exactly to your liking.

This chair has revolutionized what it feels like to be massaged by a robotic massage chair. As you float off into blissful slumber you may forget that it IS a chair! There really isn't anything that can top off this fantastic piece of machinery but they managed to out do themselves. It's all covered by a 5-year warranty. Human Touch stands by their work and you can see that in the confidence of this unprecedented warranty. In the massage chair world the typical warranty you will find is 1-3 years, but Human Touch believes in taking care of their clients! That's how they've stayed in business for so long! So enjoy your worry-free, one-of-a-kind zero-gravity massage!

The only draw back with this massage chair is the fact that there is no foot massage, only a calf massage. You can bend your knees and put your feet in the wells, but it is not a very thorough massage as your calves typically are wider than your feet, so the feet don't get the "squeeze" that the calves would get.

It should also be noted that the remote control, as is the case with virtually all Human Touch massage chairs, is kept in a little pouch on the side of the chair. This keeps it discreetly hidden and doesn't make your chair look like a space ship captains chair, which some other models tend to do.
