Buying A Panasonic Wall Mount

Mar 20, 2008
A Panasonic wall mount may sound easy to some, but others may think it is a difficult procedure; the only thing is, if you think that a professional should rather come and take care of the Panasonic wall mount, then get one in to do it. If you think you can do it with a little help and a guideline or two, that's fine, but remember that this is not something you can do on your own, you should have a friend or someone to help you. Self installation is normally better so you don't have to wait for the specialist to come and do it for you, but it is your choice and this guide will give you the basics of what you need to know when it comes to a Panasonic wall mount operation.

Firstly it is very important that you put the TV in the right place. Not somewhere where you'll want to move it after a month or two. Make sure the surface is flat and has interior walls. Many exterior walls can be built with certain sway braces, also known as fire blocks. Even though fire blocks are usually only found in areas like industrial or in commercial structures, you should always just make sure. Next, you need to make sure that the TV you have can be mounted. Just make sure with the store that it is mountable, and then also ask if the TV comes with all the necessary brackets and things to mount it or must it be bought separately.

Okay, so when it comes to the actual Panasonic wall mount, there are a few things that need to be done 100% correctly. Attach the rails to the back of the TV first. This is better to do first because then you are able to see more or less where the TV will sit when it's on the wall. When the rails are on the TV, make the marks on the wall where you want the TV to be, use a pencil or something else light. This is where the anchor bolts are going to go through the mount. Now the mount can go on the sideline for a while.

Now you can install the wall boxes for the cabling to go through, this will be where the TV is going and also where you want the other cables (audio/video) to border with the system.

Now that your mount is on the wall and you have the exit for all the wires planned and ready, it is time to hang the TV unit. With this kind of Panasonic wall mount, you are going to need some help. It doesn't matter if you have the 42" Panasonic plasma or if you have the 106" Panasonic plasma TV, they are both very heavy and you will need a second person.

Once all is mounted and you are happy with your TV, there is just one more thing you want to do; make sure that the safety tabs are correctly in position. The TV is securely held in place, but just for some extra piece of mind, make sure the tabs are right.
