Secret Services Use Same Day European Couriers

Mar 21, 2008
Graham been working for the security services in the UK for a few years now. He'd worked his way up to a position where he was handling highly sensitive information. This information has to be shared between agents in various parts of the world and many measures are taken to ensure it does not fall into the wrong hands.

Methods of doing this are constantly changing and adapting to cover the agents backs against any leaks of how to get hold of this information. Information sent is organised to ensure it spends as little time as possible in the public domain. A few select companies that deal with same day European courier services are enlisted and very carefully monitored when they have needed something urgently delivered.

The last few weeks had been exceptionally quiet in the world of espionage and the agents found it quite unnerving. They were used to being on the cutting edge of what's going on in the UK as well as around the globe. They'd even had calls from the same day European courier services to see why they've had no commissions from them recently.

Just to keep them happy and at the agents beck and call, Graham recently sent a small consignment of unimportant internal paperwork to the embassy in Prague. Same day European courier services were a little extreme for the material but it kept them on the payroll.

A meeting has been called for early on March 14th and it looked like something big was about to happen. There was an air of anticipation and excitement in the office now that they all had something to get their teeth into but it was always accompanied by that slight edge of fear that kept them all on their toes and good at their jobs.

A ring of terrorists based in Slovakia had been traced as far back as two years ago and agents have been watching them ever since, tracking their activities and working with European authorities to keep a close eye on their plans. Of course, most people would be happy just to see them arrested but with all these human rights laws, the services are very restricted in what they can achieve and nothing illegal can be pinned to them until something more concrete actually kicks off.

And this is where the agents now found themselves. Graham was dispatched to nearer the centre of events, which made him a little nervous but that is exactly what he's there for after all. Highly sensitive paperwork has been prepared for local authorities and Graham was a little reluctant to carry it himself as this then made him a target for the terrorists.

For this reason, Graham was sent away on a trip under the guise of holiday maker and the paperwork wass due to arrive by same day European courier in time to meet him at the final destination. He arrived at the hotel and awaited his orders. And he waited. And he waited.

By six o'clock that evening Graham was starting to panic. The paperwork hadn't arrived and he was stuck there, knowing that something was about to go down with the terrorists with nothing else to think about other than the safety of his family back home.

At five o'clock the next morning, another agent arrived to collect him and he was whisked home again by private helicopter. In a state of total confusion, he got back to head office in London for a de-briefing.

It turned out that the same day European courier service information was leaked and the van hi-jacked by the terrorists. The information the courier was carrying was bogus, a same day European courier service run internally had been set up and the correct information had been sent via that van to a different agent based in Prague.

The terrorists had been tailed to the bogus van and caught, their main base had been raided while these members were away with their counterparts now in custody and it seems Graham was as much of a red herring as the bogus information.

So, back at the office, he was left with the mountains of information retrieved from the terrorists camp to trawl through and the knowledge that he missed out on all the action. Sometimes, it occurred to Graham he was getting too old for this job.
