Knowing More About Golf

Mar 26, 2008
Golf is played in an area of land designated a golf course. Golf has become a worldwide sport, with golf courses in the majority of countries. Golf is golf wherever you play in the world, with the same standard rules, which is particularly useful if you want to play the sport outside your own country.

Golf courses can be built on sandy areas along coasts, abandoned farms, strip mines and quarries, deserts and forests. Traditionally, a golf hole is either a par-three, -four or -five; some par-six holes exist, but are not usually found on traditional golf courses.
