It is said that out of everyone that joins a network marketing business, more then 95% of them will wind up failing and never make a dime. Why is it that there is such a high failure rate in this industry? It seems like the concept behind it is so simple, yet most people fail to see anything more then a really big credit card bill. We are going to take a look at some common mistakes that people make in mlm and find out the top three reasons why people are not making money in network marketing.

1. Your Still Looking For The "Magic Pill"

Once you join a network marketing company and want to start making money, you usually turn to your sponsor and ask them for advice on how to get started. Sometimes they will recommend buying some training material or a product that has helped them and you wind up spending more money to get your business going.

Maybe a week or a month has gone by and you have tried a few of these techniques that you have learned but still are not seeing the results promised so you go out and search for the "Magic Pill" that is going to solve all of your problems and get you into profit right away.

The truth is that this "Magic Pill" does not exist and will only further put you into more debt. If you do happen to purchase some kind of product telling you how to build a huge downline or get insane amounts of website traffic, you have to really take action on it in order to see if it will work for you. Just because it has worked well for your sponsor or someone else does not mean it's right for you.

2. Program Jumping

This is similar to the concept of looking for the magic pill except you are searching for that perfect network marketing opportunity that will build live up to the income claims it promises.

The truth is that it does not matter what company or what compensation plan you have under you. What it comes down to is actually going out there and doing it. You have to take action and a lot of it, before you can say weather or not a program is at fault for you not making money.

There is nobody to blame for your failure except yourself. Your sponsor cannot make you successful and neither can your company. It is ultimately up to you to utilize the tools and system provided to you to make your dreams a reality.

If you hop from one program to the next you will always be stuck in a cycle that is setting yourself up for failure every time. Just stick with one thing and try your hardest to take massive action and you are almost guaranteed to make money in network marketing every time.

3. You Are Not Promoting Yourself

Anyone who is a big player in mlm or network marketing knows that you have to promote yourself before the company. You have to establish yourself as an expert in the industry and build trust among your prospects that are going to look to you for advice.

Many people make the mistake of joining a network marketing company and just advertising the generic company website that they get when they join and not doing there own thing.

Instead of just promoting a company website, try setting up your own blog or website and build your own list. if you do this you can approach people by offering them free information on how to get started with the industry and the right way to make money in network marketing.

If you do this, people will be more open to checking out what your primary business is and want to get involved because they will trust you and what you have to tell them.

Just make these small changes and you will soon start to see that you too can make more money in network marketing and never worry again about how you are going to succeed.
