Celebrities Are The Masters Of Disguise

Mar 27, 2008
What is it that makes people think that designer sunglasses equal anonymity? That hiding behind huge pieces of black plastic mean nobody can see them or guess who they are? And let's face it, no matter how big the designer sunglasses are they still only cover a portion of the face! Do they really believe that if they can't see us, we can't see them?

Celebrities would be much better off to leave off the shed loads of make-up, leave off the massive designer sunglasses and leave behind the burly body guards. If they did that they'd look like everyone else and how many of us would take any notice of who we were passing in the street?

I think they are employing reverse psychology. If they don the huge designer sunglasses and go out surrounded by all the trappings of fame, wealth and celebrity of course people are going to stare. It's human nature to see what all the fuss is about. Next day we read in the papers of the tortured lives of these people who can get no respite from the paparazzi. The same paparazzi they entice with their behaviour and dress. Still, all publicity is good publicity, apparently.

Some may sing the praises of designer sunglasses being purely for protection from the elements but if they were that concerned, surely they would ensure they were dressed before they went out. After all, some of these celebrity women wear designer sunglasses that cover a larger area than their skirts.

This celebrity behaviour also diminishes the sensible thinking of copy cat air head girls, two of which were recently convicted of robbery in Georgia, USA. Dubbed the Barbie Bandits, they stole over 5,500 pounds from a branch of the Bank of America to go on a shopping spree that included visiting a top hair salon.

The two girls, aged just 19, were sentenced to two years in jail and ten years probation. How they thought they wouldn't be caught was to commit the robbery whilst wearing large designer sunglasses! I can't decide if this shows the utter stupidity of the girls or the complete disregard for authority that is the plight of so many youngsters these days? If daddy can't give it all, we'll take it off everyone else?

Adding to this bizarre way that young people are growing up in is the latest addition to computer gaming just for girls. How to be a virtual celebrity! The game, called Miss Bimbo, begins by supplying the player with a naked animated female. You then have the option to put your character on a faddy, crash diet to become ultra thin, feeding them lettuce leaves and diet water, as if girls didn't have enough ideas of silly diets already.

If you're still not happy with the look of your character, then give her a boob job. You girls can make these characters into virtual celebrities that know no bounds of the utterly ridiculous and it says a great deal about the producers of such a programme. It also says that there is a vast market out there for this type of game that instils nothing but dangerous habits and a sense that self worth is based purely on outward appearance.

Dress this character in barely there skirts, designer sunglasses and sky high heels. Call me old fashioned but that sounds like a prostitute to me.

New best pals Victoria Beckham and Kate Beckinsale were recently seen out and about in Hollywood doing lunch and visiting museums with their family. Luckily, the paparazzi got a tip off about their exploits because they would never have recognised them otherwise, given the fact that they were wearing huge designer sunglasses.
