Boston Experience at the Prudential Center

Apr 1, 2008
How does one achieve the complete vacation experience? A complete vacation experience is the act of seeing at least one of all the major attraction types that a given area has during what is generally a one-week stay. That means one museum, one shopping experience, one fine restaurant, etc. Is it even at all possible to have a complete vacation experience in your favorite getaway spot? Sadly, the answer is not likely, but in Boston Massachusetts, one has a better chance of getting close to it than anywhere else. This is largely due to the presence of the Boston Prudential Center.

The Center of Boston Fun

The Boston Prudential Center is a massive establishment, claiming over three million square feet of space. It is conveniently located in the historic district of Boston. The location combined with all the shops and services located within the walls of the Prudential Center make it a culmination of the majority of the fun-filled sites and activities available in the city of Boston, all within walking distance of one another. It is truly a hub of vacation fun. There are over seventy shops and fine dining establishments within the center, as well as tourist activities offices.

The Activities

On the activities forefront, there are the offices of Boston Duck Tours, where you can book a tour of the historic district of the city via a world war two amphibious vehicle that will take you throughout the city and even across a river, by water. There is also the main station for Enterprise car rental, just in case you would rather discover the many sights and sounds of Boston on your own.

The Skywalk

As far as things to do beyond that of shopping, the Boston Prudential Center is also home to the Prudential Center Skywalk, the only observatory within the city limits of Boston. This is a great activity for parents with children. There's nothing like the though of outer space to put a little excitement into a child's day.

Shopping

As shopping goes, the options here are almost endless. These are a varied mix of brand name stores, popular shopping venues and lesser-known shops, making the Prudential Center the ideal location for anyone regardless of your budget. Some of the larger named outlets here are Barnes and Noble Book store, Chico's, Talbot's, Jasmine Sola, Lord and Taylor Apparel, Talbot's Men, and Ann Taylor.

Fine Dining

On the Dining end of the spectrum, the Prudential Center offers a good variety here too. There are over twenty-five different options to please your palette. There is Ben and Jerry's, Dunkin Donuts, Flamers, Boston Chowda, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Paradise Bakery and Caf, the Qdoba Mexican Grill, and Sakkio Japan, to name a select few. Regardless of your favorite type of food, you can be sure that there is a minimum of at least one restaurant in the Boston Prudential Center that will please your tastebuds.

Getting the complete vacation experience may very well be impossible within a time frame of one week, but you will come closer to this concept at the Boston Prudential Center in Boston Massachusetts that anywhere else in the world.
