Great Executive Gift Ideas

Apr 2, 2008
Executive gifts are given either as an award for exemplary service or as a "thank you" from a vendor. For inter-company purposes, executive gifts can be given for bringing in a new account or client. Possibly for spearheading a successful project that benefits the company.

When given by customers or vendors, executive corporate gifts are a way of saying "thank you" for continuing business or solving a customer's problem effectively.

Additionally, executive corporate gifts can be used as promotional items to bring in new business.

The executive is someone who has a leadership or management role, or oftentimes, both. Executives not only lead and manage but also promote action. So they DO things as well. This is what cuts executives out of the masses. Moreover, they are directors that bring focus and productivity to their business or company.

So when choosing the executive gift, here are some examples of what you can expect to find by price range.

$25 to $50

Some executives enjoy novelty items. For these folks, a silver plated yo-yo or piggy bank will be a good idea. For the sports fan, a stadium blanket or seat works well.

As always, food items are always appreciated as they can be shared or enjoyed immediately. The most popular ideas though are for the desk since this is where an executive spends a lot of time. For these guys/girls, desk clocks, perpetual calendars and combo picture frame/clocks are great ideas. It just depends on the likes of the person receiving the gift. Be sure to choose an appropriate gift for the appropriate person.

$50-$100

Now we get to some nicer items. There are crystal paperweights or bowls for the décor oriented executive as well as novelties like a gold plated Slinky in an oaken case. More practical are the desk clocks, most made of nicely stained wood or sterling silver. Also you can find things like leather wallets, achievement awards, food sets and golf accessories. Family oriented executives will appreciate a picnic set that can be shared with the entire family and permit the receiver to relax and enjoy his/her family time a bit more. Again, be sure to get an appropriate gift for the person receiving it.

Over $100

Executive gifts over the price of $100 are more tailored to the individual. These are the Cadillac of the executive and corporate gifts. Items like leather golf bags, large fruit baskets, designer watches and even steaks can be purchased in this price range. You could choose martini glass sets for those who like an occasional drink to unwind. Tailgate barbecue kits for sports fans and serenity water fountains for the feng-shui enthusiast. These are premium gifts and are usually high quality products.

Whatever executive corporate gift you select for your need, again, be sure to pick the proper gift that suits the receiver. For instance, you don't want to give a wine set to a non-drinker or a crystal bowl with cashews to a person who is allergic to nuts.

This would not be good, so select your executive gifts wisely and give them gladly.
