Apr 4, 2008
Los Angeles is such a massive place that it has become widely known as the cities within the city. It is so big that there are 34 individual regions to it. The vacation possibilities are literally unlimited. Once could spend a lifetime and never do everything that there is to do in Los Angeles. With this in mind, in planning your Los Angeles vacation experiences, it is important to pick the exact area that you are planning on visiting.

One popular tourist hotspot, particularly for the family oriented vacation, is Pasadena. In this nice calm part of the overall urban paradise that is Los Angeles, you will find several very good attractions with a good clean family atmosphere. There are the usual restaurants, shopping options, and five star hotels, but for the vacationer willing to dig deeper, he will find that the three most popular and enjoyable are the Bunny Museum, the Kidspace Children's Museum, and the Pasadena Historical Museum. One might consider that too many museums for one vacation, but these hotspots go a bit further than the traditional museum experience.

The Bunny Museum

The Bunny Museum is the last thing you would expect to visit in your vacation, but perhaps the most fun, particularly for the younger children. In actuality, the Bunny Museum is the home of Pasadena residents Candace Frezee and Steve Lubanski. These two rabbit aficionados have made it their life goals to create the biggest bunny collection in the world. Today, the Bunny Museum is home to over twenty thousand bunny rabbit collectibles. Everywhere you look in this gorgeous old house, you will find rabbits. You will find rabbit furniture, stuffed animals, paintings, statues, and even light fixtures. Everything is a Bunny in the Bunny Museum. The most thrilling aspect of the bunny museum is the 5 live potty-trained bunnies that reside within the house. Your kids will get a real thrill out of petting these adorable creatures.

Kidspace Children's' Museum

The next extremely popular kids stop is the Kidspace Children's Museum. This particular museum has enough activities to keep your family busy for an entire day. One such activity is the Yogi Masters Class. Here the children will actually learn how to do basic yoga exercises. The kids can also climb the rootwad, an artificial root jungle gym, or play in the garden outside. They can take a drive in the interpretive Arroyo for fun. They can search for fossils, feed giant insects or even create their own rainstorm. This is just the beginning. There are hundreds of interactive events here.

Pasadena Historical Museum:- Another exciting family stop, though more oriented towards the older children and adults, is the Pasadena Historical Museum. There are tons of things to do and see here, and if you time it right, on Wednesdays you get free admittance. There are always special activities here, such as book signings from famous authors, art tours, and even several mansion tours and tea parties during particular times of the year. There is hallway after hallway of art in every conceivable genre. The Museum consists of more than one building, but both buildings are works of historic architecture themselves. There is even an exotic garden to take a walk in.

If you like a clean, g-rated vacation that you can take your kids and entire family to without worry about obscenities, foul language, and other r-rated aspects, check out Pasadena in Los Angeles California. It is truly the family district!
