Write down your motives and reasons for losing your stomach fat. Get it all down in writing and stick it on the wall, on your table or somewhere visible at all times. This is just a constant reminder on why you are doing it, and keep you motivated. Without clear motivation ,your endeavors will be short lived.

Listed below are 5 tips you should get onto now to lose stomach fat-

1. Plan to eat well, plan to throw out all the unhealthy foods from the pantry and plan your menu for the week. Than shop for the good kinds of food that are natural and wholesome. Once the grocery is done, cook your meals in advance - say 2 to 3 days and stock it in the fridge or freezer. That way, you will not be tempted to eat out, rather you're more inclined to eat in and eat healthier.

2. Reduce the amount of fat you eat lowers the energy density of your diet. Use lower fat cooking methods, such as grilling instead of frying. Try non fat flavoring ingredients such as onions, garlic, lemon zest, herbs and spices. But remember, you need a certain amount of 'good' fats - the unsaturated kinds found in fish, nuts, seeds and their oils.

3. Make meals more satisfying by including two to four portions of high protein foods (like poultry, fish, low fat dairy foods, beans, eggs and tofu) daily. But don't overdo it - eating more protein than you need won't help you lose weight faster. Comes down to eating in moderation.

4. Write down everything you eat - monitor what you're eating and get a clear picture of your eating habits. If for various reasons, you stray one week, you simply review your food intake and adjust where necessary to get you back on track.

5. High intensity workout - forget wasting hours at the gym on the treadmill. You will get more fat loss results from interval training and strength training. not only are there more challenging to the body, it requires less time for more fat results than the standard steady state cardio. If you are unfit - start slow with walking and gradually up your intensity over time.

Always pace yourself and be patient. The last thing you want to focus on is fast fat loss results. It is not realistic and safe. Long term, if you lay one brick at a time to your efforts - you'll achieve far grater results.
