About Weymouth:

Weymouth, a famous town of Dorset in England, is situated near River Wey. Having population of around 52,000, Weymouth is one of the exciting tourist resorts in Dorset. It got its name; WeyMouth because this town is located at the mouth of the River Wey. Weymouth has been the center of attention for tourists since 18th century and the local economy of the town is highly dependable on its tourists.

Attractions of Weymouth:

There are so many exciting places in Weymouth that can capture the eye of the visitor. From historical buildings to modern pubs and cafes, fishing boats etc, Weymouth has something to offer for every single visitor. Every visitor finds the place of his/her interest in Weymouth. Out of many attractions of this famous visitor resort; Weymouth, some of the most well-known attractions are:

Sharky's Playzone

Sharky's Playzone is biggest attraction for the children coming to Weymouth. It offers four different levels of exciting games and fun play to the children of usually any age. An exciting fun game; Laserzone, that could be equally enjoyed by adults as well, is open in the eves for all children that are over 7 years; making them a sharp shooter. The Playzone also has a licensed café bar and it also offers a diverse range of meals and ice creams for the children.

Brewers Quay:

Brewers Quay is a renovated brewery building of Victorian age. The building acts as an umbrella for a hidden shopping village; having more than 20 different shops offering different goods. Because of the timewalk it has, it gives a feeling of getting back; almost 600 years back. It gives a clear picture of who the local industry of the area would look like 600 years ago. It helps the visitors in knowing and exploring the historical happenings of the area. The place has everything to capture the attraction of the visitors. Brewers Quay also opens the door for the Weymouth Museum; the most attractive place that provides you an insight of the present and the past of the local area.

Weymouth Whitewater

The best attraction; specifically for the young guys and girls is the Weymouth Whitewater. In real, only those should go to explore this attraction, who really dares to go. If you have the guts to face the wild tides and you feel like challenging them, then Weymouth Whitewater's White-Knuckle ride is for you to experience.

Bennett's Water Garden:

Bennett's water garden is named after its planter; Norman Bennett who, in 1959, started planting water lilies in the clay pits of the Chickerell Brickworks. The garden then continued to grow up and how it is spread on 8-acre site. People walk around the lakes with beautiful landscapes to be explored. Britain has many collections of water lilies but it is considered the best of its kind in Britain.

Nothe Fort:

To get the best view of Weymouth and Portland Harbours, then Nothe Fort is considered to be the best place for having exciting views. This fort has also now become a museum which reflect different period of time; World War II etc. The place has been presented in a really attractive manner that excellently portrays the history of the fort.

Sea Life Park

Sea Life Park is a great place of attraction for all ages; specifically for the families. It provides both outdoor and indoor attractions to the visitors. The park is playing an excellent role against the extinction of different creatures like Humboldt Penguins etc. It shelters other water animals too like seals, octopus, crabs, otters, seahorses and the center of attention of all visitors; Sharks. In short, Sea Life Park is a fabulous place of attraction that can bring you closer to the nature.
