The Reason Behind Baldness

Apr 10, 2008
If you look at the majority of men you may notice a certain pattern amongst them. That pattern is that there is an element of baldness or thinning of the hair that is taking place.

The place of the baldness or the thinning seems to appear in the same location amongst the majority of men.

The baldness always seems to start at the temples and then works its way backwards. But there does not seem to be any actual explanation as to why this pattern is similar across the majority of men.

At present there is no real actual cure for treating baldness but there are plenty of products and treatments that are available to help thicken thinning hair so preventing to some degree baldness actually taking place.

What actually happens is that a chemical hormone known as DHT is released within the scalp and this causes the follicle to become thinner and thinner. It becomes so thin that the hair itself is no longer able to grow and so eventually dies.

As it has been mentioned there is no real cure and there have been no successful trials actually performed, so alternatives do need to be considered.

Some consider the use of wig, but given that a wig is often obvious to other people, many bald people actually prefer just to show off their bald head.

There is also the possibility of hair replacement therapy where hair is actually transplanted back into the scalp.

Whilst the pattern of baldness is quite similar across the majority of males there are some males that suffer from bald patches. This could be quite a serious health issue and so a visit to the doctor should be made to seek further advice and guidance. Some possible reasons as to why bald patches may be occurring is due to a fungal infection or the person being anaemic.

Once you have been to the doctor and you are diagnosed to be anaemic that you need to be making sure that you take the right steps with your diet in order to replace the lack of iron within your body.

If you enjoy eating meat, then be sticking to your existing diet all should be fine as meat does contain a high amount of iron. But you should not just really in meat only as a source of iron.

You need to also be taking vegetables such as cabbage and also fruits which are a great and natural source of iron. Eating as much raw iron rich foods will be much better rather than having cooked meats where much of the iron that you need will be cooked off with the heat.

But with men being the way that they are they tend to ignore medical problems until is actually too late. It is important that men, regardless of age, take care and attention of their health and body, otherwise one day, by neglecting your health you could find yourself unable to be as active as you currently are.

Taking note of your health and being aware of changes could help prevent many serious illnesses such as cancer or problems with your heart.

Remember if you have too change your diet, that is often the first thing to change and one that is very simple to change too.

Cut out all the junk and bring in more fruits, vegetables, nuts, grain, water and your body will really thank you for it.
