Ten Major Reasons for Heart Attack

Apr 10, 2008
While there are a number of different factors that lead to heart attacks, many of which that are still largely unknown, there are a number of well known lifestyle factors that can lead to this event. Here is my very own list of the Top Ten Ways to Have a Heart Attack.

10. Smoke. We all know that smoking is dangerous to your health, to your cardiovascular system, especially your heart. When you smoke, your arteries clog, raising your blood pressure, making you doubly prone to heart attack compared to those who do not smoke.

9. Drink too much, or not enough. Drinking around twelve ounces of beer, five ounces of wine or 1.5 ounces of hard liquor is actually good for your heart, but drink more than that, or less, is not effective. When you drink too much, alcohol raises your blood pressure making you at risk of heart attack.

8. Vegetate. By not exercising regularly, to deprive your body of much needed energy to reduce stress, reduce cholesterol levels, cure hypertension, or reduce excess weight. Being sedentary will make you more prone to a heart attack.

7. Get angry. Yes, getting angry is as dangerous as health related causes in the occurence of heart attack. Getting angry frequently and for long periods of time can raise the blood pressure, thus can lead to a heart attack.

6. Losing control of your cholesterol. Cholesterol level goes up when you eat unhealthy foods, foods with saturated and trans saturated fats, and foods that are not rich in nutrients. When your cholesterol goes up, your chances of having a heart attack also goes up.

5. Get stressed out. Stress is a huge factor that leads to heart disease, so getting stressed out regularly and for long periods can raise your blood pressure, and lead to heart disease and heart attacks.

4. Lose control of your blood pressure. If your blood pressure goes above normal, the heart compensates by working harder to push blood through, which can cause it to enlarge, which in turn can cause heart attacks.

3. Don't take your health serious enough. If you don't take care of your health, you may develop heart attack symptoms. You must give importance to your health everyday to keep your heart healthy.

2. Over exert yourself. Blood pressure rises when your stress level rises due to over exertion. This may lead to a serious heart attack. Avoid over exerting yourself, especially if you already have other risk factors for heart attacks.

1. Not taking advantage of my unique program. You can avoid all of the nine reasons mentioned here, and still be at risk for a heart attack. The solution is to follow my program, and you can extremely lower your risk of heart attack.
