Apr 16, 2008
Green tea is one of the most complex herbs used in the pharmaceutical industry; although primarily known for the benefits it provides as an antioxidant, it has many other positive health properties. Green tea weight loss extracts can be purchased easily in liquid and tablet form but whichever way you take it; you will burn calories, naturally.

Although known more for its weight loss properties, extended use has other beneficial affects by slowing the oxidation process of our cells to reduce the signs of aging. Although it is the toxin removal and laxative qualities that help with weight loss when taken regularly. Our body loses more calories because it is speeded up thereby reducing the amount of fat tissue which would normally form.

This said, green tea weight loss supplements still need the help of the person using them because if you are eating large amounts of junk food every day without any physical activity then you will still put on weight. Improvement to general eating habits is necessary because the intention to lose weight implies the dieter wants a much healthier lifestyle.

When prepared as infusion, green tea should be used in the evening before going to bed. It is possible that during the first two or three days, you may experience some bowel discomfort, but that is very likely to pass soon. By making adjustments to the metabolic rate, the body will not retain toxins long enough to enter the blood; this is how green tea weight loss products work. Indications that it is working can generally be seen within seven days of use providing other aspects of the diet are followed like drinking plenty of fluids combined with physical activity, fruit and vegetables.

Often, green tea is combined with other products to work more effectively and one such product is ginseng. Considered to be the root of life in China and Tibet, ginseng root brings the vitamin and mineral supplement the body needs during a detoxification period.

Ginseng is a valuable source of energy when added to green tea products especially noticeable when a person is trying to lose weight and it helps improve the immune system during a difficult time. Green tea and ginseng have not been found to have any harmful side-effects even during periods of up to six months at a time.
