Training your MLM Leaders

The first thing I suggest is to do your homework. There are many Multi Level Marketing businesses out there so be sure that you find the one most suited for you. Be aware that there is some unscrupulous individuals out there waiting to take advantage so please research all opportunities you may be interested in. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true; it probably is. Unless you are born into it, nobody gets rich from just sitting around doing nothing, so if you are approached by somebody who tells you just that politely turn in the other direction.

Once you have done your research and decided upon just the right company, the real work begins. There are ways to keep you from getting overwhelmed. For one thing, keep it simple! Use the phone to contact friends and family who you feel may be interested. Talk to your sponsor about e-mail leads and use them, keeping in mind the regulations regarding SPAM. You will suffer some rejection and negativity but dont let that get you down. Continue putting in the footwork and your efforts will pay off handsomely.

Once you have made the initial contact, follow up with the information. Direct them to your website which will explain every aspect of the business. Let them know that it may take 20 to 30 minutes of their time to get a good look at the business and what it is about. Let your prospects know that you will be contacting them by phone to go over what they learned and answer any questions they may have. It is very important that you reconfirm their contact information, as well as their genuine interest in the business. If they are really not interested, leave it at that. Ask if you can contact them at a later date, as well as leaving the door open for them to contact you!

Follow up with a 3 way phone call. This will be done with you, your upline and your prospect. This very important step will almost assure your success with this particular prospect, so dont procrastinate with it.

MLMs can be profitable and exciting. The key is to keep it simple, follow through and be honest in your dealings with others. Dont mislead prospects into thinking the business will be easier than it really is or that they will make more than they will actually make. It may initially draw many people to your downline, but if they find that the conditions are different than promised, they will go inactive. In the end, it is better to have a smaller downline of people who are actually working toward the same goals than to have hundreds of disgruntled individuals there in name only. Good Luck!
