A Diet That Requires You To Take Plenty Of Fruits

There is a kind of diet which emphasizes the intake of fruits. In fact, it is not something new when weight loss diet is concerned. There are a lot of dieting plans which focus on the intake of fruits.

The basic idea of the diet is that you will eat papaya, pineapple and watermelon. It is because papaya can soften fat. And at the same time the pineapple will burn the softened fat. Then watermelon will help to wash the burnt fat out of the body. It is very easy and simple. Under this concept, you will be able to lose weight by eating just fruits. This sounds very easy right?

Yet the fact is that there is no solid scientific ground to back the basic concept of the diet up. People who have tried this diet claimed that in a period of about one month, people who take this diet can lose 15 pounds. If you take this diet, you will only be allowed to take grapefruit one day, and the other day you will only be allowed to eat watermelon etc. The idea is that you can only eat one kind of food every day.

In fact, the above idea of eating only one kind of food every day is the biggest problem of the diet. The diet is very boring. It can be sure that you will be very bored if you can only eat one kind of food every day. You will be tempted to have other foods when you are taking this eating plan.

Besides, you will not get all the vitamins and minerals you need if you only take fruits. It is true that you may be able to loss some weight quickly. But it probably means that you are losing some muscle mass and water within your body. This may not be good for your body. Since you lose some muscle mass and water, the chance is that you will have weight gain again after you stop taking the diet.

As a matter of fact, since you cannot get all the nutrition you need. You are exposed to diseases when you are taking this diet! As a result, you should never take this eating plan for more than a month. Otherwise it will only do your more harm than good. At the end of the day, it will be better to get a healthier dieting plan instead of this one.
