There are dividers that come adorned in decorative panels or one that stands by itself. You can find them in bright colors or designs or neutral colors that blend in well with your current décor.

Many people who decorate their homes in Asian décor use folding room dividers as part of the overall scheme. There are many dividers with beautiful decorative Japanese scenes painted on them. They are also available in bamboo or rattan for a different look to your dividers.

Some of the other styles of folding room dividers include fabric-covered screens and some have an openwork metal design to them, which give them French, look or style. Some people use them in their bedroom to provide a private dressing area with a large standing mirror behind them. For a home with a large living room and dining room combination, they are great for sectioning off one area from the other.

Some people use their folding room dividers for temporary use only, fold them up, and store them in a closet when not in use. If the design of the divider goes with the wall, you can lean them against the wall as part of the décor when not in use.

Some different styles of folding room dividers include tropical ones that are made of natural wood. A Shoji divider is a good addition to a Japanese themed room. You can even find them in leather and prints in retro themes. As for the size of them, you can find them in from fifty inches up to ninety inches. Many families use them in recreation rooms to hide the children's toys from visitors.

Folding room dividers are an economical way to add character and individuality to an otherwise dull and boring room. They are available in an assortment of styles and colors, so that they will blend in with just about any style of décor. This way, you do not have to change your entire room to match the divider. You will find these room dividing pieces are used in many different locales. Churches that do not have walls to partition off areas for Sunday school teaching, will often employ these temporary options in order to save money. Depending on the quality of the product, you can spend anywhere from a hundred dollars to a thousand dollars or more.
