How to Truly Get Rid of Stretchmarks

Apr 24, 2008
Men, women, and children can all get stretchmarks. This is a skin problem that doesn't seem to discriminate. If you're dealing with stretch mark problems, you'll definitely want to make sure that you come up with a battle plan.

The first step on your battle plan is to examine the areas where the stretchmarks occur. If they are thin and silvery, it may be that they are healed already.

Some people may be lucky enough that they will go away eventually. Others will need to take some more time in order to banish the marks.

The red, deeply pitted stretch marks are probably the worst of all to deal with. You can see spot these nasties from a long way away.

When stretchmarks are red, that usually means they're fresh. Your skin hasn't healed up yet, which explains the redness.

The best thing you can do about these annoying red stretch marks is to try applying a stretch mark cream. You'll get far better results if you work to solve this problem early.

But you need to follow the directions every day and apply the lotion faithfully, which will take some discipline. It would be all too easy to forget to use the cream or fall out of the habit. Just remember that the effort you put into it now will pay off in the long run.

Actually, it doesn't matter what color your stretch marks are. Using special creams can do a lot to improve their appearance at any stage of the game. Individual results will vary, but at this state you'll probably be thrilled with the results.

It isn't enough to just use the creams and be done with it. Now that you know what a battle with stretch marks is like, you can work to make sure you do not get them in the future. One of the golden rules that you need to follow is to make sure you drink enough water each and every day.

Most people don't drink as much water as they should. Yet a lot of the health problems people suffer from can be avoid or at least alleviated by drinking plenty of water. Your skin needs water to help stay health and good-looking.

The longer you wait to heal your stretchmarks the harder it is going to be. Choosing the right treatment for is crucial.

Also, make sure that you are staying extra hydrated so that your skin glows and has the elasticity that it needs.
