How does Calorie Shifting Work

May 3, 2008
By changing your eating habits and food combinations, you force your metabolism to change the rate at which it burn calories. This is known as Calorie Shifting.

Your metabolism makes an assumption about the amount of calories you will feed it over the coming days. This is a natural biological assumption and is based on the amount of calories your body has received over the past few days, as there is no way your metabolism can predict the amount of calories it will receive next week for example.

If however, you could do the opposite of what your metabolism was expecting this would effectively shock your system into burning more calories. By rotating the foods you eat and the frequency and types of foods, your metabolism will start to burn calories based on this rotation.

What you are doing in effect is telling your metabolism to burn more calories, as it will expect to see more calories being ingested.

As you eat your daily meals, your brain is releasing two kinds of fat controlling hormones. Fat Storing hormones, which tell your body hoe many calories to store as fat and Fat Burning hormones, which tell your body how many calories to burn.

Using a Calorie Shifting diet, you induce your body to release more Fat Burning Hormones and Less Fat Storing Hormones. This effectively forces your metabolism to burn a greater percentage of calorie intakes, reducing the percentage of calorie intake stored as fat. Your body gets different types of calories every day, which forces faster fat burning to happen.

Your body produces fat tissue which is actually destined to be burned away during your daily routine. Having an insufficient amount of Fat Burning Hormones released after every meal, means this fat tissue gets stored, instead of being used up as energy.

Calorie Shifting works by cycling your food types and meal frequencies, allowing the lowest possible amount of Fat Storing hormones to be released, which means your body will store less of it's calorie intake as fat and burn more calories as energy, as it releases more Fat Burning hormones.

Calorie Shifting can cause a repeat weight loss process to happen, without any food deprivation or drastic reduction of calorie intake. The program works in cycles and weight loss occurs on a per cycle basis.

The weight loss is the direct result of the shifting nutrition patterns and the way in which your body produces Fat Burning Hormones and Fat Storing Hormones.

Starting a Calorie Shifting diet forces your body to use up more of the fat deposits it already has stored and also convert more of the food it receives into energy, which is burned as fuel.

Calorie Shifting diets have been most effective for those people with a BMI (Body Mass Index) between 26 and 36. This is not a hard and fast rule, as Calorie Shifting, like all other weight loss products, works better for some than others. Individuals in the BMI range of 26 to 36 however, have seen the best results from Calorie Shifting diets.
