Other Solutions For Orange-Peel Skin

Although there's no substitute for working up a good sweat, there are other methods you might try to minimize cellulite. Here's what the experts recommend.

Try Cellulean!

In addition to a good diet and exercise plan, give Cellulean a try. It has been scientifically tested and excellent results have been reported.

Don't chew the fat. If you want to shed fat from your cellulite zone, shed it from your diet first by cutting back on rich desserts, crunchy fried snack foods, oily dressings and fatty meats.

Limit your fat intake to the recommended 20 to 30 percent of your daily calories. Calories from fat sources get stored as fat more readily than carbohydrate and protein calories. So munch on more crunchy fruits and veggies, whole-grain breads and pasta, broiled chicken and low-fat yogurt.

If calculating percentage of calories from fat is too much bother, stick to a daily total intake of 40 to 50 grams of fat. Read labels for fat-gram content per serving, to help gauge, not guess, your intake.

Try massage. Some anti cellulite products suggest you use them in tandem with massage. A cream makes massage easier, but it's the pounding that probably helps most, according to studies conducted. Massage won't get rid of your cellulite, but it's clearly helpful. Massage breaks up fat cells, which makes it harder for fat to dimple. Massage the back of your legs with sand when you are at the beach. Massage trouble spots three times a day. Massage takes dedication but costs you nothing to try.

Rub in Retin-A. Retin-A (topical tretinoin), the derivative of vitamin A, used to treat acne and wrinkles, may improve the appearance of cellulite when it's used in tandem with massage and exercise.

When you use Retin-A, skin gets a bit thicker and firmer, and then the little fat pockets don't project through the skin as much sites many dermatology researchers. Retin-A's effect on cellulite has been studied extensively. But Retin-A isn't a miracle cure. Cellulite is fat. You aren't going to improve it very much by putting Retin-A on top of it.

Give yourself a break. If you've tried everything and still harbor a few unwanted ripples, don't fret. You can be at your ideal weightand in great shape, yet still have a few dimples. Most dermatologists recommend to lighten up on yourself while you do what you can to trim down your puckers and dimples.
