5 Things Personal Training Golfers Should Know

May 5, 2008
Personal training golfers need a lot of knowledge and years of golf and fitness experience before they could even start making a real high pay career out of it. There are still those who stick up on a $120 per hour session as a personal trainer because they are not those types who are always called for and looked for by high paying clients.

To get you running on golf fitness career and keep you on high paying terms, here are 5 things personal training golfers, or even aspiring ones, should know.

1. Anyone could be a personal golf fitness trainer; it is not only you who have the potential. This only means one thing: you have about millions of competitors out there. What do you need to do? You have to be different from all of them. You have to create a character and personality out of you to stand out from among them. This is very important not only in golf fitness training career but in almost everything.

2. A personal golf trainer must possess these personality traits: patience, motivation, friendliness, sociability, enthusiasm, charisma and strong presence.

3. You should be able to give golf tips, tricks and techniques. This will further enhance your credibility as a personal golf fitness trainer. Practice a lot of golf swings and tricks which would satisfy your client and improve their game play. This way you would be even pleased yourself because you could see what happens when you build people's skills up.

4. Get your very own website which would host for you and make you available for a lot of clients who are very willing to pay for higher amounts. Today, Internet has been the gateway to let merchants and service providers have a wide range and variety of customers. This is the greatest opportunity a personal golf trainer could ever have--a website which would keep clients coming.

5. Get a hold of contacts everywhere you go. You may never know when your biggest break is going to be, so keep on giving away your business cards, contact numbers and acquaintances. You may also post your ads for free on the internet. There has been a growth in online marketing and advertisements. Just be sure to post them on a reputable and popular website to let customers see you.

When you are still an amateur or just beginning your way to become a personal golf trainer, one very important thing you must possess is strong will. Never ever quit on what you have already started. One only fails when he/she have said so. There is no reason for you to quickly change from one career to another. You chose to be a personal golf trainer because you like the job not because of its high pay. Just keep on doing on what you think is best and you will just be surprised at the time when you are already reaping your rewards.

Personal training golfers are not always effortless and undemanding--it is only just so because when they start to love it, it's like they are not really working at all.
