If you're overweight or obese, chances are you've tried a slew of different ways to lose weight. Many people are just like you; searching and searching but getting no results. This is a heartbreaking cycle, because not only is your health affected by your weight, but your self-esteem, your confidence and your happiness! 1. Shifting Calories - Most people don't know that our body burns calories based on what we eat. Our body is designed to burn calories daily and if we regularly eat 1500 calories, our body will burn that many. However, if we eat 2500 calories, our body will burn that many. So, to trick your body into burning more calories and fat, you need to shift calories. Let's say you eat 2500 HEALTHY calories for a few days and then you move that down to 1500 calories. Your body is going to want to burn 2500 calories although you've only eaten 1500. This means that your body is going to burn the food calories and then attack the fat tissue! This means that you lose weight. Shifting calories is one way to lose weight and get rid of the fat.

2. Eat More Often - This doesn't sound like a great way to lose weight does it? The truth is that it's one of the best ways, as long as you're eating the proper foods. When you eat around 6 times a day, smaller portions and healthier foods, your metabolism will speed up and you will burn more calories. In the same way as shifting calories works, when your body has burned the food calories, it will attack the fat next. This is another idiot proof way to bust the fat.

3. Drink More Water - It's true that fluids are very important for your body. Not only do fluids fill you up and keep you feeling full for a longer period of time, but water keeps you from drinking other things such as sodas or sugary drinks. These other drinks are obviously full of sugar and fat and can make you gain weight. Drinking water is a great way to keep this from happening. It also flushes out your system and keeps you healthier.

4. Eat the Right Foods - It's very important that you give your body the right foods at the right times. Your body needs certain types of fuel at different times during the day. If you're not giving it this fuel, you are probably adding to your weight problem. When you have the right kinds of food, your body runs more efficiently and burns fat more efficiently. This is a great way to lose weight and look amazing.

5. Avoid Prank Diets - These are the diets that everyone is trying, but no one is getting any skinnier. Low fat and low carbohydrate diets DO NOT work. The only thing they do is wear your energy out, flush the fluids from your body and make you completely miserable. Avoid these diets to avoid added heartache when they don't work and aggravation because you're not getting thinner.
