How Article Marketing Can Affect Your SEO Effort?

Other than driving quality traffic directly from article marketing, it can also affect the SEO performance of your site. Article marketing is one of the best ways to get back links to your site, which in turn increase your link popularity. However, in order to boost your SEO performance with article marketing, you will need to optimize the anchor texts in your articles. So what do I mean by this?

For every article that you write, there will be an Author's Resource Box at the end of the article. This is the place whereby you can do a promotion of yourself or any site that you wish to market. In your resource box, there will be links to direct your article readers to visit your site. If your resource box is well-written, you can entice your readers to click on your link and thus increase the amount of traffic to your site.

The link in your resource box is where you need to put keyword-optimized anchor text in order to boost your SEO performance. Anchor text is the hyperlinked words that appear on a web page. The words you click on when you click on the link. Anchor text usually gives your visitors useful information about the content of the page you are linking to.

So let's say that you are optimizing the keyword "search engine optimization" for your site. One way to boost your SEO performance for this keyword is to place the keyword as the hyperlinked words in your article. By doing this, you are able to score more points with Google and get a good ranking for this keyword.

However, if you squeeze in a bunch of keywords in your anchor text, this will not give you a good ranking on Google. In fact, it may hurt your ranking. Therefore, make sure that you only place relevant keyword in your anchor text, pointing to the relevant page of your site. By doing this, you can please both your readers and Google.

If your site is new, you do not need to submit your site to search engine and wait for it to be indexed. What you can do is to use article marketing to allow search engines to know your site's existence.

Place your keyword-optimized anchor text in your article and submit your article to popular article directories. Search engines will crawl the article that you have submitted to the various article directories, and follow the anchor text to your new website. In this case, you will be able to get the search engines to notice your site a lot faster.
