This One Golf Driving Error Could Lose You 20% Of Your Power

May 22, 2008
The most burning desire of every player across the whole universe is to drive the ball the right way in order to shoot the target. In reality, this is one of the most sensible techniques to follow since the game of golf only has one goal and that is to shoot the hole. Every other tips and techniques are only secondary but still their importance should be recognized.

When golf driving technique is the topic, most golfers are interested on putting some distance to their drive. The very first thing to consider when adding distance is to go wide, which simply suggest that you need to widen your stance in order to hit the target. By doing this, you can add stability for you to do much more effective swings. You can do this by putting some weight on your back foot in order to get a powerful coil the moment when you turn away from the ball. Moreover, you can also go wide with your backswing which simply suggest that you must stretch out on the takeaway which ought to be as wide as possible.

Moreover, learn that there are various aspects to good drive and that includes the grip, arm speed, run up, pull back and pull through. All of these aspects should work hand in hand to bring better result. Now, the grip should be done using the power grip in where the forefinger is located under the rim of the disc. Do not do the control grip which takes place when your forefinger is situated outside the rim disc, this will only rob an estimate of 20% power. However, if you are only targeting short distance then it is acceptable to use the second kind of grip. The next thing to familiarize your self is the run-up which is the aspect of golf driving techniques in which you must be coordinated and rhythmic as much as possible. There are some who would do a running start before actually doing the run-up although this works for some, it should not be done by those people who lose their sense of control when doing such.

Doing the right golf driving technique will promote good shots. Of course there is no easy way to do this so it is a must to practice the technique as often as you can do. Always remember also that the good technique begins with how you address the ball. First decide which would be your target and set it up as an address which will condition your mind to hit it. More than just a physical sport, golf also needs your mind to dictate your body of the proper way to do therefore it is a must to practice positive thinking when you are at the field. Even the best player of golf would work poorly if his mind is being bugged by other thoughts. Concentrate. Clear your mind from any other outside concerns and above all, enjoy the game!
