After the player made the initial meld, he can plays one or some tiles from his rack. If the player is unable to play any tiles, he must take a tile from the pool and add it to the rack. After it, proceeds to other player.

Before starting the initial meld, players can accumulate as many as tiles. For the early level of a rummikub game, a player can has extra tiles. Master players usually dispense with the one tile rule in order to speed playing and add extra level of the game strategy. The one tile rule is that a player who is unable to play, can takes extra tiles from the pool.

A rummikub game usually continues until a player runs out all tiles in the rack. Or no player can continues a valid playing. Or a winner declares his victory.
