Keep Website Visitors Coming Back To Your Website

Provide valuable free content on the site. If you are selling fishing equipment, no matter how vast an inventory you have your website can't succeed if it is merely a catalog. That's just not good web development marketing as people will only visit when they need something. This is why it is important for the site to contain a ton of free content that will make people visit frequently. This content could include blog entries, articles, pod casts or media files dealing with all sorts of fishing related subjects. Update content regularly. Make sure the content on your site is updated. If you have not added a new article in 6 weeks people will stop visiting. After all, you have nothing new to offer! While it is understandable that daily updates can be difficult, there is really no reason why adding something new once a week can't be done. If not, then you are really not performing website marketing in any effective manner.

The RSS option. If you really are pressed for time, you could always add an RSS feed to the site. RSS feeds are syndicated news feeds and there are feeds on every topic under the sun. Best of all, RSS feeds are updated many times during the day so your site can become a default news source that people will want to frequent.

Notify your email lists that you have updated content. Collect emails of visitors via an "opt in" list. This way, when you update your site you can let visitors know when that new article or pod cast is posted. When they are informed of the new content, they will head to the site to check it out. Email website development marketing may be old, but it is old hat!

How many times would you read the same magazine article over and over again? Maybe you would do it once or twice, but what would be the point of re-reading it 9 times? Websites are no different.
