1. Getting the correct nutrition is essential to any successful diet and exercise plan and fruit, veg and starchy foods will provide you with all the necessary nutrients needed. Starchy foods should be around a third of your daily diet and just as important is eating different types of starchy foods. They are an excellent way of getting the energy that your body needs and of also getting fiber, calcium, iron and Vitamin B which are all essential for a well balanced diet.

2. Reward yourself - Achieving your goals should be fun. When you reach a goal, whether it is a little one or a big one, reward yourself with something other than food - like a spa treatment or a movie . Pick a reward and don't give up until you've earned it. It will make the reward much more satisfying and keep you in the game.

3. Exercise during your best time of day. Are you a morning person? If you are then you will get your best output from your workouts. If you're a night person, then try working out in the evening. You will need to experiment with this until you find your sweet spot. And the key here is be consistent with your workout and your healthy habits.

4. If you truly want to loose weight, then you must look at a combination of a low-calorie diet with high intensity aerobic exercise and lifting weights. The appropriate diet will ensure that the body receives the amount of calories it needs to continue functioning normally, the aerobic exercise will burn more fat tissue and the weight training will help the body keep the necessary muscle tone active.

5. Cut down on the forbidden 'no' foods like donuts, cookies, cakes, pastries and yeast rolls. Instead, try raisins, nuts, dried fruits and yogurt. You should try your best to eat healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole foods like whole grain rice, beans, legumes and whole oats. These foods will help you maintain that proper weight as well as giving your immune system and your general health a great boost. This is one of the best ways that you can utilize to lose weight.

By following the tips above you will be on your way to changing your life and improving your health. Simple and small changes are all is needed to make that change in your weight.
