Sell More Products With Clear Covers On Vending Machines

Jun 5, 2008
Vending machines are all around us, and just the fact that we see them can entice us to make a purchase. Yet you can sell more products if you have clear covers on your vending machines. This is because people can see what is inside of it and it will often make them want it. This is similar to the items people buy while they wait at the checkout line in a store.

Clear fronts on the vending machines allow the customers to peer inside at what they want to buy. This can be a variety of items including drinks, healthy snacks, candy, and even ice cream. Make sure you keep these outer covers looking nice though as you don't want them to get scratched up. You also want to remove dirt and fingerprints to give a very nice impression of your service.

Some people feel that these types of vending machines encourage theft though. They feel that people will want what is inside of it more if they can see it. This is the general idea, and so you can deter theft by placing these vending machines in well lit areas. You can also install a video camera so that there is recorded information about what is taking place.

Even with a designed cover, theft can occur. They may just take a chance to see how much money is in there. They can also stake out the location to find out what your schedule is for taking the money out of it. The bottom line is that the reports of theft haven't really increased or decreased with the use of clear front on them.

You will find though that vending machines with clear fronts cost more than other models. This is due to them being newer and that they can entice people to buy in ways that differ from an attractive advertisement on the front. For example seeing an ice cold soda is different from only seeing the picture of one on the vending machine front.

Used vending machines with clear fronts may be an option for you as well. You do want to make sure that they front isn't scratched though. Such damage can deter customers from buying items. Look for those that are made from heavy plastic rather than glass as well. This will help to reduce the chances of scratches as well as breaks.

Make sure you have a good idea of what you need from the vending machines before you invest in them. Take a close look at your budget and the various models offered. Make sure you understand how they operate and how to repair them. Those are all details that will make your vending machine business more successful in the end.

Instead of a vending machine with a fancy front, consider one with a clear front. This way customers can see exactly what you have to offer inside of it. These are becoming increasingly popular. This is a great way to market your business that allows you to get an edge on the competition as well.
