How to Get Your Ex Back With Dignity

Jun 17, 2008
Are you having second thoughts about the break up you recently went through and are you hoping for a chance of reconciliation? Well, there may be times in your life when you find yourself stuck in this unfortunate situation, wondering how to get your ex back with dignity. So, quit wasting time mulling over all that has happened and start taking steps to get your love life back on track immediately!

Firstly, give your ex and yourself sufficient time and space to be alone. After the break up, the two of you need the opportunity to be away from one another to think and reassess all that has happened. Never be in a hurry to get back together even before things have improved or changed. Be it a few days, weeks, or months, the amount of time you should give your relationship a break depends on the circumstances that you are in or the reasons behind which you broke up with your ex.

Next, it is crucial that you are able to move on with your life. Continue living life the way you have always led and be the true person that you are. If you find that you cannot take your mind off things that have happened, take up a hobby or do something of interest to you. Also, keep your friends and family close as they will provide the love and support you need. This step is important as being happy with yourself makes you feel good and allows your ex to see how strong you are without him or her.

Also, it will be good if you can improve the way you look. Get a make over or clean up the way you look to boost your self esteem, and you will be able to impress your ex and those around you as well. Eating well and getting regular exercise is necessary to develop a healthy physique. You want your ex to notice how good looking your are.

Then, when the time is right, gradually take steps to establish contact with your ex. If you have made a mistake, apologize for it and find ways to remedy the situation. Always remain calm and maintain clear communication with your ex. Remember never to get too emotional as no one likes to be involved with an emotional wreck. Prove that you will work for your relationship to happen and be genuine when expressing your interest to your ex. In addition, avoid looking too needy or clingy by keeping a respectable distance away from your ex during this period, so do avoid harassing or making those excessive calls and text messages!

As all relationships require both parties to put in effort to work, be honest and sincere when trying to establish trust with your ex. Do not insist or force anything to happen but keep your cool instead. This is the best way to get your ex to be interested in you once again.

So to get your ex back with dignity, take steps to boost your self esteem and improve the way you feel about yourself. Remember to play it cool, be confident and give time for your ex to fall back in love with you!
