Easy Ways To Relieve Stress

Jun 19, 2008
In our fast pace, always on the go, money-driven society our bodies really start to take a toll in the workplace.

It is unfortunate that most people have no clue how to deal with the stress that keeps coming into their lives. For this reason, it is important to find ways to relieve stress.

One of the best and most beneficial ways to release some pent-up tension is to get out and exercise. Even if you just got out and went for a walk 4 times a week for about 15 minutes each time, you will notice a huge difference in you body's ability to cope with stressful demands.

Why is exercise so good for stress? Because it produces endorphins and gets rid of adrenaline. This will make you not only feel better, but you will look better in the process.

Some people think that yoga is a great way to release stress. This isn't personally my first choice.

I would much rather punch a punching bag then stretch, breath deep and focus on the 'inner me.' Don't just take my word for it though, go with the type of exercise that you like best.

People that use yoga as a stress-reliever say that the breathing techniques and exercises help you connect with the universe on a whole new level.

Stretching is another one of the ways to relieve stress. Most people only stretch before or after working out, but it can also be used any time to help release built-up tension.

My favorite stress reliever has got to me massage. Even though it can be quite expensive, it is well worth the money if you really want to feel the stress melt away.

Make sure to find out which type of massage you like best. There are different kinds, my favorite are the ones that use aromatherapy oils and candles. Talk about relaxation!

Whoever said laughter is the best medicine had it dead right. Sometimes even a simple joke can help you change your view on a situation. Even you need an entire evening of laughter, watch a comedy or go to a local comedy show.

When in doubt of what you should do when you contemplate ways to relieve stress, take a break. If you can afford a vacation, go on one.

If you are tired, take a nap. If you are in need of some inexpensive relaxation, take a nice, warm bubble bath.
