It can be a little difficult to define what a home theater system is, since this is often a catch-all term used to describe different type of home entertainment systems. Most home theater systems incorporate some kind of surround sound technology, which means that you will not only hear sound from the screen, but from various different places. Often, home theater systems will have three speakers: a center speaker, one speaker on the left, and one speaker on the right.

The other main component of a home theater system is the screen. Most home theater systems contain large movie screens. Like a movie theater screen, home theater systems make use of large screens that seek to make up your field of view. One of the most important factors when considering the crispness of a home theater screen is to consider the pixel ratio. In general, the higher the pixels, the more refined and crisp the picture will be.
