1. Focus your workouts on doing full body exercises and total body workouts rather than using machines and focusing on isolated muscles only. Forget about doing hundreds of crunches, bicep curls and triceps kickbacks if you want to lose fat. They're a waste of time. You need to focus on doing exercises like squats, lunges, rows and push-ups and only using dumbbells for your resistance rather than the machines found in most gyms. These form of exercise will help you burn the most fat, especially from your stomach.

2. Try oatmeal - If you have problems managing your cholesterol levels, this food is just the right option for you. Oatmeal is as tasty as it is nutritious with its complex carbohydrates, and cholesterol fighting abilities, your body will certainly benefit. A super food like this is perfect to kick-start your day, and keep you energized and focused until mid-day.

3. Eating reasonable amounts of natural fats coming from foods like avocados, nuts, and seeds may help you lose more weight by getting you fuller faster and providing the healthy fats your body needs

4. Change the way you eat. Getting fat does not happen in a vacuum. It comes down to two simple points - bad food choices and how much activity do we have. Going on and off of a diet is a type of self destructive behaviour. Educate yourself as to what types of food are good for you. Eat more whole grains, beans, vegetables and fruit (also, nuts and seeds). Stop eating fast food and drink less sugary beverages. Avoid food that is processed. Do not diet - you just have to change the way that you eat.

5. You Should Eat A Huge Breakfast - Whilst it is true, to ensure weight loss when on a diet, you should eat something in the morning time, it does not necessarily have to be a three-course meal! You need to eat something that will tide you over approximately three hours, such as oats, until your mid-morning snack (or lunch, depending on what time you wake up). Simply put, breakfast need only be a bowl of cereal and a piece of toast.

The key to losing weight is eat sensibly, eat in moderation, stay active and just be consistent with your efforts. Just doing it once will not be enough, it's about getting into a regular daily routine of being fit and healthy. It is simply the best way to lose body fat.
