When you're a mother and you're in the office, no matter how busy you are, your mind always wanders to your family. You think about what they're doing, if they're okay, if your husband likes the rushed packed lunch you prepared for him, if you put the right amount of peanut butter in your son's sandwich and more. You may not even know this is happening. Take a day and write down all the interruptions you have in a day while trying to work your home based business. You will be amazed at how much time you spend putting out fires.

Being a business woman is never easy because you are busy most of the time. You want to spend time with your husband and kids but your schedule just won't allow you to. The key is to set up times to run your business. These time should not be moved or changed unless it is a real emergency.

Studies have shown that many business women often feel empty when they're not doing anything productive. Hence, they establish their own home based business. Nothing beats being able to work at home while spending time with your family.

Although this situation does sound inviting and less stressful, setting up your home based business isn't as laid back as it appears. Even though you are staying home to work, you still have to be able to attend to client's needs while taking care of your family. Do yourself a favor and get a Global Mentor.

Though it may sound difficult and impossible, there are techniques to achieve stability. Keep in mind that starting your own business is never easy. Failures will always be present and it is very exhausting. However, if your family and friends support you 110% then it will like a much lighter load.

Next, you must take your family and work time into consideration. If you're at home 24/7, your kids might think that their mommy is always present to play hide and seek with them. To prevent your kids from feeling neglected, have a little chat with them and soothingly explain to them that you need time to work so that you can have more time to play. Your husband must also realize that he can't just send you on errands just because you're the one who's at home all the time. You can give them a schedule so you can work without interruptions. Giving them chores can help keep them busy as you attend to your business, plus, it also builds their sense of responsibility.

If your kids are too young for chores, you can consider hiring a nanny or a teenage babysitter. Let's face it. No matter how much you want to mind your kids 24/7, it's just not possible especially if you have a deadline to meet or if you have a really important client call. Having someone watch over your kids for a few hours can give you a few more hours to catch up and finally finish your work.

Procrastinating has never really done anything good to anyone. The sooner you finish your work, the sooner you can play with your kids and have some alone time with your husband. If you get your job done quicker, your family will be more grateful and happy. Running a business and taking care of your family at the same time is tiring yet fun. Working at home can be more enjoyable if you can manage to spend most of it with your family. Be patient and maintain a regular schedule with your work and your family and after a while you'll be controlling your business like a pro.
