And when you throw in a total body workout, you'll lose more body fat! Below are 5 tips you should stick to if you want to lose your body fat-

1. It is healthy for everyone to follow a high fiber diet, aiming for two to three cups of vegetables per day and two pieces of fruit (preferably with the skin on). Switching to a diet high in fiber doesn't mean you have to add more carbohydrates to your daily menu, it simply means you need to eat high fiber carbs (those with more than 3g of fiber per serve). Choose from broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, zucchini, tomato, mung beans, leeks, green beans, capsicum, onions and others.

2. Slow and steady wins the race - you didn't gain the weight overnight, so take your time to lose it. It really is about making lifestyle change, not just going on a diet.

3. Set small manageable goals. If the problem seems too large you're more likely to give up. Try reducing your food portion size or increasing your exercise by 10 per cent at a time.

4. Monitor yourself - keep track of your goals if you want change to stick! So if you're trying to become more mindful of your eating habits, keep a food journal. If you want to be more active, keep an exercise log. Writing down everything you eat and do is one key to fat loss success. Not only that it provides a great feedback about links between your eating behavior and your emotions and social life. For example, by reviewing your food journal, you might find that you eat junk food when you're stressed or in social situations.

5. Lasting changes occur slowly, so enjoy small, planned indulgences along the way. Have fun as you work towards your goals. As you change shape, relish your new image and get a new makeover - change your hair style to compliment your new found healthy body!

The best way to lose your body fat is to - eat more fresh wholesome foods by cooking your own meals and start working out. It's as simple as that, and it's up to you to plan what you need to do now and be made accountable for your own actions. Make it a point to report to a friend or family member on your progress. And just work at it to improve your life-stlye by eating better and exercising more. Lastly, just be realistic with your goals.
