Revealed: How to Get Ride of Cellulite

Almost 95% of women have a problem with cellulite. It usually accumulates on the thighs and backside, transforming smooth skin into an unsightly mass of lumps. The majority of people think that there is nothing that can be done about this so they just wear long skirts and pants to hide it. Don't despair! There are methods to lessen the appearance of cellulite, or even eliminate it permanently. Here they are!

What is Cellulite?

Septae is a web of connective tissue located under the skin. Fat is a layer underneath the septae. Cellulite is created when the layer of fat pokes through the net of septae, creating the look of ripples. For instance, imagine gelatin covered by fishnet. The gelatin will come out from the holes in the net once it is tightened. The fat and the septae have the same effect.

Mainly older women have a certain problem with cellulite due to their skin becoming thinner and the holes in the septae becoming larger, causing bigger and more obvious fat bulges.

Cellulite is not usually affected by exercise. To achieve a smoother effect, you must concentrate on the skin and the fat cells.

Two Steps to Beating Cellulite

Don't even think about liposuction and surgery. According to studies, massage is an effective method of getting rid of cellulite. Who would have thought that such simple a thing could have such an amazing effect? Cooling cellulite has been proven to have a major soothing effect. So why not combine the two in a morning ritual?

Try ending your daily bath or shower by spraying cold water on any area of cellulite that appears on your body. Next, massage baby oil into the affected area. Continue for about ten minutes. Results should be visible in approximately two weeks.

Why is this effective? Keep in mind that cellulite is fat cells that are nudged upwards, into small clusters. These fat cells return under the septae to where they belong under the action of cold and massage which smoothes the lumps.

Healthy Skin is Smooth Skin

As the skin ages, it loses a lot of its collagen and elasticity, making the skin sag. In order to avoid the worsening of the cellulite appearance, it is important to lessen the amount of collagen and elasticity lost

In order to maintain elasticity, use a good moisturizer after you shower. The best moisturizers also contain collagen so you can keep your skin firm as well.

Don't worry if you already have signs of sagging. Just use a firming lotion like Jergens Firming Daily Moisturizer. The majority of firming moisturizers are scientifically proven to assist in tightening of skin. As you notice your skin getting tighter, you will notice the disappearance of cellulite as well.

The most effective way to deal with cellulite is as simple as cooling, massaging, and moisturizing your skin. Finally, there's no reason not to hop into those tiny shorts and skirts!
