Your main advantage is that you are a girl and girls are known for their attitude, beauty and good sense. So make the best use of these. Things you need to know about a guy before impressing him are his likes and dislikes, his nature, etc. To impress a guy, you need to have a positive attitude about yourself. Do not underestimate yourself. Be confident. Think you are the best and keep this attitude up. After all, a guy will like you only if you like yourself.

Dress appropriately; if he has a favorite color, make it an important part of your wardrobe. There is no need to dress like a princess all the time, but dress to the occasion. Be friendly. On your first interaction, somehow get to draw his attention. You can easily do this if you try mingling with the people he mingles with. Do you have a group of common friends? Make sure to associate yourself with them a lot. If he is around, indulge in meaningful and intelligent conversation with the group. Guys like girls who have a head on their shoulders. But don't try to be shallow. Be natural and spontaneous. Try to avoid any potential forms of embarrassment when he is around. Try to be around that guy as much as possible, as this will let him form some sort of impression about you.

On your first meeting, somehow, get yourself introduced to him. Compliment him casually for something. Flattery works with most guys, especially if it comes from the opposite sex. Do not try over-friendliness. Asking too many questions may irritate him. Men with a reserved nature may not like it. Let him speak. It will be good if you listen more than speak. Do not go on and on about yourself. Speak on topics he likes to impress him. Display some sense of humor. Laughing on his jokes will help you. Remember whatever he says, whatever information he gives you about himself. Whenever you get a chance, show him that you remember everything he told you about himself, without making it too obvious for him that you like him. Do something which makes him consider you as his friend. Once you are friends, give him a helping hand whenever he needs it.

If you follow the above ideas, you can definitely get a guy to like you.
