How Do You Get Your Ex to Want You Back?

Jul 7, 2008
If your romantic lover just called it quits, do not give up for it's not the end of the word yet. There's still a solution. Perhaps you want to grasp how to get your ex to want you back, particularly if this is a sudden split up. Here are some tips for you:

Know the real dilemma. If you can learn the real reason for the split up then you already worked out half of your issues. Before even thinking of getting back with your ex, find out if that dilemma is something that can be mended. If not, get going. Be brutally open to yourself and acknowledge your mistakes. Maybe you're always temperamental, pesky all the time or extremely watchful every day.

Develop your action plan. In life, it is always vital to have a concrete plan. If you want to get your ex back, you ought to learn the power of timing, learn how to say the exact words, and know when to surrender or play hardball.

Do not act needy. A very negative feeling is acting too needy and it usually is a big turn off particularly for men. Do not exploit pity as your main strategy for getting back with your ex. Base your renewed union from strength and on no account from pity.

Never pester your ex. Give your ex the breathing space and time to take a break from one other. It means that you must not assail your ex with unnecessary phone calls, emails, text messages or surprise visits. Stalking is a punishable act in all 50 states, remember that. Some believe that this problem should be settled immediately or everything will fall apart. Regrettably, it will just aggravate the situation. What you both really need is time to think things through before talking again.

Do not beg. Don't be one of those fools who beg like a dog, saying that there's no sense living without him or her. Don't even swear that you will change everything to solve your problems. The worse form of pleading is threatening your ex of committing suicide just to keep the union active. Do yourself a favor - grow up and stop this baloney.

Know your lover better. We all change and sometimes we don't even know it. Sorry to say, we tend to take for granted that feelings do change. That's why you should know your partner thoroughly - his desires, feelings, needs, and wants. Take time to know your ex in a deeper and more personal level.

Never argue. Don't fight fire with fire. If you need to get your ex to want you back, be open to critique and learn how to accept your blunder. Argument does not work out in this kind of problem. Choose your words cleverly to avert hurting your partner's feelings. If you're both in such foul temper, try to put on hold your talk when everything calms down.
