The Path to Cutting Calories

Like most of us, you must have heard dozens of advertisements for various types of exercise machines or equipment that promise to give you the body of your dreams. But if purchased one of these miracle machines you surely would have been disappointed once you bought them and used them. Likely, you would have found them to be useless after sometime and they would be collecting dust, taking up space or you would have thrown them away.

After this you would have realized that loosing weight is neither quick nor easy. You would have followed all the instructions and also a good diet but still you may find that your weight is not reducing to the extent you want it to. This may be partly due to your body's actions and reactions. Especially if you tired to drastically reduce your food intake. For, when the body finds that it is being starved then it slows the metabolism process to protect the stored fat for future use.

Nevertheless, there is hope. You just need to gather a little information. And you should gather a lot of will power. You can plan and start to reduce your calories in an efficient and effective way. Following is the way in which you can burn those extra calories.

* Cultivate a habit of taking green tea regularly with your daily diet. Some health experts and nutritionists also recommend drinking green tea thrice a day. Green tea energizes your metabolism. Metabolism does not at any point of time decrease due to the chemicals present in green tea. You derive benefits from green tea due to caffeine and some chemicals present in such tea. These caffeine and chemicals always keeps your metabolic rate at a higher level.

* Plan to take up regular exercise. See that this routine never becomes dull and you end up in stopping it. You have to bring in changes in your regular exercises so that it never becomes dull and boring. Changes in the form of time change can be practices. For example instead of exercising in the morning you can do it in the afternoon or even in the evening. Change your types of exercises. Do not do the same exercise every day till you get bored up. When you repeat the same form of exercise every day your body becomes accustomed to it and your goal of weight lose is once again defeated. So bring in changes such that your body does not have the time to adapt and you lose your weight in the bargain at a faster rate.

* You should actually keep a record of how you are going about with your workouts. You need not work for longer hours. But the work outs selected by should be result oriented.

* Ward off the enticement to famish yourself. This will only make you sick. Your body will react by slowing your metabolism and exhausting muscle tissue. A better option will be for you to eat low-fat and nutritious food.

* You can develop little habits like dancing or doing your house hold shopping etc. Every movement you make helps you to burn your calories.

* The most important thing is that you should never forget the liquids. Liquids especially water should form the essential part of your diet. Majority of the health experts are of the opinion that an individual should take at least five bottles of water daily. When you take in more water your metabolism rate increases and this helps in burning of more calories and at a faster rate too.

* Do not get stuck to your gym. Take a walk down the hill or go to a beach and play with the kids. This will help you to inhale fresh air and also give you a change from your regular gym.
