Most of us are PC users that spend long hours in front of the monitor for one hundred and one reasons. Seeking employment online requires that you have internet connection and of course, your ever-dependable PC.

May you be a worker or a job seeker, using the PC should be done in such a way that body postures are not compromised. This may be difficult to practice all the time, but the many benefits of using the PC properly are worth the little sacrifice.

According to ergonomists, people who do a lot of "static work" like sitting in front of the PC to finish tasks tend to develop repetitive stress injuries (RSIs) over a period of time. It is therefore a must to take precautionary measures and follow some healthy tips. (to be concluded)

This is the conclusion to my previous post on PC use. Without further a do, here are some healthy tips for PC users to reduce or prevent stress injuries:

1. Exercise once in a while. Stand up, walk around and stretch your muscles periodically to relax your body and relieve stress.

2. Follow a good working posture. Do this all the time to prevent injuries.

3. Adjust your position and that of the monitor. Follow the correct viewing distance between the eye and monitor which is in the range of 20-40 inches (50-100 cm).

4. Make sure the keyboard is in a comfortable position. Too high or too low may damage your wrist, arm and shoulder postures.

While resumes and cover letters go together, resumes are used more often in looking for jobs in the Internet through online job sites and other related resources. Most of the times, it is only a matter of preparing a good resume that spells success in online job search.

Resume writing is a serious task in itself, especially if you are finding employment on the web. It would be helpful to job seekers to know how resumes are scanned or screened by the employers as well as the use of an appropriate format to make a resume accessible and readable.

Usually, employers store resumes in a database. The human resource personnel assigned to screen resumes uses keywords in accessing the database. For instance, if the company needs a marketing officer for its office in California, he would use keywords like sales, marketing and California. From there he should get a dozen or so resumes containing those keywords provided.

Not many are convinced that the biggest challenges is finding the appropriate talent to satisfy the company's needs like time, resources restrictions, battle for skilled workers, just to name a few. In spite of this, companies are looking for ways to reduce the time and costs of business meeting with and interviewing mutually the recently qualified and knowledgeable aspirants to satisfy the business needs. Online job opportunities need to develop competent employees for high priority appointment; price and time are no longer troubles for your business.
