Confidence Of A Man To Grab The Brass Ring

Jul 14, 2008
As the merry-go-round brought you around again and again, did you lean all the way out to snatch the brass ring or did you just hold your hand out, close your eyes, and hope that you caught something on the way by? Were you afraid to lean out and grab it because you might fall or were you afraid that you might actually grab it?

Women like guys who aren't afraid to lean out and grab the brass ring, especially when the brass ring has their name on it. In fact, if you're reaching out to grab her, you are likely to win her affection by showing some guts, giving it your all, and simply not being fearful of the results. Confidence isn't about always getting everything you set your sights on, but about not allowing the time you didn't get it to cloud your efforts from then on.

The only thing standing between you and a valiant and applaudable effort is you. You are the only one who can stop you from leaning all the way and snatching the brass ring. Your parents aren't there to tell you what's dangerous and your friends aren't' the ones who end up alone if you fail to lean out.

So who else is really worth listening to other than you? In reality, telling yourself that you can go get what you want is usually the only big boost you really need to get over that hump. Once you start to think that just maybe you can, the only next reasonable step is to take the leap off the cliff and to go for it, in the biggest way possible.

Even if your lines are all that smooth or your not looking like the cover of GQ, women are more likely to overlook flaws and flawed efforts when the main component (which would be guts) is overflowing. I am not talking about that little beer gut, but some downright raw and unshakable nerves of steel when it comes to anything and everything.

Of course, being bold, brave, and daring enough to reach out and grab the brass ring doesn't just apply to reaching out and grabbing a hottie. It refers to reaching out and grabbing life, all of it, from the hottie right on down to the new and improved job you are seeking. All of these things are more than possible with a little positive self talk and a little practice.

The cool thing about practice is that it doesn't look like practice to anyone other than you. In fact, by practicing what you need in order to snag the right woman for you, you build up a positive energy about going out there in the world and grabbing what you want. One move leads to the next which leads to the next. It's a fabulous process which comes with the added bonus of impressing those around you, including the opposite gender.

Perhaps this all sound rather simplified. Maybe you don't think I understand what it means to be afraid or just how bad the last woman who was in your life hurt you. None of that would be true. It is simple. Simple and easy are two different things. Simplistic is awesome because that means that you only have one thing to think about while psyching yourself up to reach on out there.

Easy or hard, every improvement starts with one basic step which is then followed by another. Working through your fears and issues, especially those that surround women, is not an easy task. Often we need encouragement and some sort of reassurance that we are going to be okay. I can give you both. You have the power of choice.

This means that you can choose to let a woman tear you up for not wanting to be around you anymore or you can choose to be grateful for the time you had together and move forward with hope and dignity. And of course you're going to be okay. Whenever we make moves to become better, stronger, more self assured men we end up okay, even if the improvement is very small.

Sometimes the real deal is in the details. Maybe you are okay with reaching out there and trying to grab the brass ring but then you aren't sure what to do with it once you have it. It's a free ride. Your efforts have already paid off, you've already made a striking impression with you strength and ability to simply charge off and grab what looks good.

The brass ring simply means that your hard work, the ice breaking session, is already behind you. When a woman watches a man fearlessly tackle a task, there is a primal response. As much as we have grown in our society and as much as women preach women's rights to equality and men want less time at the office, women still often feel a primal and necessary feeling of safety and prowess when they watch a man exercising his strengths to the world.

So at this point, you have two options before going any further. You can start grabbing your share of everything that looks good to you or you can opt to sit back and wait for the right woman to fall into your lap. Thus far, the waiting strategy hasn't worked out so well, has it?

Then run on out there and grab something. Anything. A new job, a new dog, a new girlfriend, or even a new wife. Where you start is completely up to you. Practicing a new life of grabbing what you want and getting what you need if only going to help you in every aspect of your life, not just in one or two small areas. You get to become the man if you choose, and the free ride is usually a ticket for the roller coaster, not the merry-go-round. Don't let fear guide you into a life of lonely exasperation. Get out there and do something to make your presence bigger.

If you lean too far out and end up falling off the marry-go-round, don't expect anyone to stop the ride. But you can still get up, brush off the dirt and mend any broken skin, and still catch up and hop back on. Sure, you might be a little embarrassed or at worst you might need a few stitches, but one fall doesn't mean that it isn't worth it. While the free ride is really cool, what is even better is the knowledge that you have leaned out despite your fears or negative expectations and grabbed your share of the goodies.
