Keep In Shape With These Free Exercises

Have you ever felt tired and stressed out from work and by the time you get home you see your three children running towards you asking you to play basketball with them? You refused and promised them that you will after you take you rest.

Instead of disappointing your children, why not say, "yes" after all? You will be surprised by the amount of energy you will have after that 30-minute activity.

Were you aware that by exercising moderately for as little as 30 minutes, you'd feel much greater, even mentally? Time and time again, it has been shown this enhances the appetite and focuses your ability to solve problems. In addition, most people find it easier to go to sleep at bedtime if for 30 minutes each day they do some sort of moderate activity.

In what ways does exercising on a regular basis help you? Most people who exercise have more discipline and have a better self-esteem. Exercise raises your spirits and can help you feel better when you are depressed. When you are first starting out, it may be best to start out at 15 minutes a couple of days a week. Over a period of time, you can up your workout length when your body has adapted.

Do not push yourself beyond your limits! Quit if you feel something painful. Take it easy for several days, then try starting back up again. However, you might have to begin from square one again.

Try these medium level exercises you can perform:

1. Get walking! Take advantage of your neighborhood. Bring your pet and/or family along. If you can motivate your family take a daily walk you will see that you are shedding excess pounds while enjoying being outsite and you can take in some sun.

3. Give yoga a shot. You may be suprised, but yoga is extremely effective at rejuvinating your inner self AND your body. Just picking up some basic poses that aren't very difficult can be effective. Just several minutes of yoga can reallly wake you up and recharge your batteries. Yoga is like a combination of relaxing and stretching in one exercise!

3. Play sports. Try tennis, basketball, whatever sport you like. It goes without saying that participating in sports is a great way to stay in great shape. You don't have to play competitively or even play at a hard level. Just throwing a baseball with a buddy is stil viewed as a sport.

4. Join a work exercise group. If your place of employment doesn't have any, you can start one up yourself. Talk you superiors about it and begin with your colleagues. You won't just be shedding pounds, but you will also be bonding. It doesn't take much, just 30 minutes for a few days.

5. Combine chores and exercising. Washing the tub, raking, carrying laundry and washing and drying your vehicle are decent exercises you can do while home. Try to use the chores as way to increase your heart rate and break a sweat. Rather than use a leaf blower, try raking those leaves yourself and burn off some fat.

Making exercises as part of your daily routines will surprise you how many calories you will lose. Doing these moderate exercises of the same amount every day can burn 150 calories up to 1,000 calories a day!
