Myth #1 -- Oily skin doesn't need a moisturizer - Wrong!

Moisturizer is thing that all skin should contain and it is must even if it is oily skin. Mainly your body produces oil to keep your skin supple and healthy. If you have very oily skin then the pores in your skin producing the oil are probably working extra time. There are lots of reasons to happen this.

Constantly cleaning your face and washing your face lot without using the moisturizers may cause the problems because you are actually removing the natural oil from your skin. This is not actually recommended.

Myth #2 -- You need prescription medications to control acne - Wrong!

There are lots of alternative treatments that are available for acne that you need not go to the doctor's office. Actually the drugs variety of simple techniques ranging from masks to scrubs to astringents.

There are also many homemade remedies and holistic products that you can use to treat acne. Keeping your skin clean and healthy may be be all you need to ward off mild to moderate acne.

Myth #3 - Acne treatments aren't cheap -- Wrong!

Some of the best acne treatments are actually free! Before washing your face, using a wet hot towel to open your pores will certainly help work tremendously. And even you can wash your face right after a shower to get the similar result. Even hot water will open the pores very easily to get rid from all the problems like oil and dirt. There is not necessary that you should use the expensive soap and moisturizers to treat acne. Only normal qualities of stuffs are enough to get the same results that expensive stuff have.

Myth #4 - Acne is only a problem for teens, not adults -- Wrong!

Generally the acne problem occurs to adults and teenagers. It is usually because of the teenagers are usually attributed to hormonal changes and for the adults this problem occurs mainly due to the chemicals and diet, not just the hormones. Just keep in mind that there are lots of ways to treat acne which really work, so don't give up your hopes!

Myth #5 - Tanning will get rid of your acne -- Wrong!

During tanning it does change the color and texture of your skin; it does NOT get rid of acne. Untanned skin is much lighter than the Tan skin, making the acne a lot harder to see. By spending or tanning too much time in the sun will also help you to dry out your skin and even it helps to dry out your acne - but thing is it won't get rid of it! And this is some what not the good treatment for acne this may also damage your skin.
