Learn to Recognize the Signs of Infidelity

Jul 18, 2008
It is really possible to tell if your significant other is cheating on you? Are there tell tale signs of infidelity? According to leading marriage counsellors there are signs that you should look for to tell if your spouse or partner is in fact cheating on you. Statistics show that 50% of men who think their wives are cheating are right and 85% of women who think their husbands are cheating are correct.

Some people are easier to catch cheating than others. There are things that you should look for to know if your partner is having an affair. Most affairs occur between business colleagues. If you are noticing that your partner is going on a number of business trips with the same people or a particular person then you might want to examine the situation more closely to see if there is anything to worry about. The most common locations for meetings between two people who are having an affair are business trips, car pools and meetings at the gym.

If your spouse is showing an unusual lack of interest in sex and is avoiding sex for outrageous reasons then you might want to question him or her. If your spouse has never been the type of person to show interest in sex then you probably have nothing to worry about. However, if you once had a very active sex life and then it has begun to diminish for no reason then there may be a reason for that.

One of the leading signs that a person may be cheating is late night use of the computer and keeping it a secret. If your spouse is trying to hide what they are doing on the computer while you a sleeping then it may be safe to suspect that they are cheating. Late night phone calls are also a sign of cheating. If the calls cannot be explained or if your partner is trying to hide who they are talking to, then you and your partner may need to have a discussion about what is going on.

One thing that people look for when trying to find if their partner is being unfaithful is unexplained spending habits. If you notice that your partner has been spending a great deal of money on things that you know nothing about and cannot explain why or when the money was spent, it is safe to suspect that there may be an affair going on. People often check credit card statements to see where there partner may have spent money and why.

The computer and the Internet are great ways to meet people and begin having an affair. People often think that because their partner is not meeting someone in person they are not having an affair; this is not the case at all. People are now meeting people online and forming relationships with them while hiding it from their spouse. As mentioned earlier, if your partner is spending a great deal of time on the computer late at night and hiding it from you, you might want to check into what is going on.
