Prevention of snoring

Producing high or low tone noises at night while sleeping is called snoring. This noise is caused by vibrations of the soft tissues in the throat. There are several causes of the reduced airway that leads to this vibration, including behavioral factors such as excessive smoking and drinking that leads to the nasal obstruction that causes snoring. Obesity plays a vital role in causing snoring, causes accumulation of unwanted fats or muscles around the throat which causes blockage in the regular air flow. Nowadays snoring has become a major cause of concern throughout the world.

How to prevent snoring

1. Continuous positive airway pressure

Throat rinses lubricate your throat tissue, reducing the vibration of loose tissue and controlling your snoring. Before going to bed rinse, the back of your throat with at least 2 teaspoon of snore relief throat rinse for 10-15 seconds. Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes before or after rinsing to have maximum effect.

2. Steam inhalation

Nasal congestion leads to the vibration of the soft tissue which causes snoring. If your problem is nasal congestion, steam inhalation can help you prevent snoring by clearing your nasal congestion when vapors are inhaled thought the nose. In a bowl of steaming water you should add few drops of essential oil, cover your head with a towel over the bowl, and inhale deeply.

3. Loosing weight

Often snoring can be cured by just making changes in lifestyle. Proper diet plays an important role in preventing snoring. Excessive consumption of dairy products will increase your snoring to a greater extent, so they should be avoided. Spicy and pungent food like cinnamon, cloves, cardamom will dry the excess mucus that causes snoring. Eating nutritious food and improving your fitness level will help to cure snoring significantly.

4. Steam inhalation

Sleeping on your side can cure snoring. If you are sleeping on your back you are making your snoring worse. Sleeping on your back makes your tongue to slide backwards, forcing the air through a narrow passage and creating noisy vibration or snoring. You should develop the habit of sleeping on your side.

5. Continuous positive airway pressure

This device helps to control snoring, particularly that caused by sleep apnea. A Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) pulls the air of the room and pumps it continuously through a flexible hose worn over the nose, mouth, or both. This will help you to keep your airway open. There are many modern products available online or any pharmaceutical shops available easily. Some of these are as follows.

6. Snore relief throat rinse
