Driving traffic is one of the toughest but essential parts of internet marketing. This is the part that truly differentiates a successful affiliate marketer from an unsuccessful one. You may have the most beautiful and attractive website and product but if there are no visitors, it is like a shop without a customer walking past.
Finally in the past few weeks a light bulb keeps going off to write articles and publish them for money. The best part is it cost no money to write articles and most of the article directories do not charge to publish them. Strange that it takes me so long for the simplest things to sink in.

The best part is you never run out of material to write about. There is a never ending need for information. Check out what is happening in the news. Go into different forums and see what questions people are asking about. See what the latest info commercial is on the television. What is hot at the newsstands in magazines? What are your hobbies or interests? What are your children or grandparents interested in?
Therefore if you have written 1000 words articles, you can split it into 3 articles of different parts because people are more likely to finish reading a 350 words article than a 1000 words article.
This is the main reason for which many online marketers fail with article distribution process in top article directories. Hence, ensure that your articles are easy to read and understand. They also need to be informative and somewhat exciting or compelling to read.
I have been using article marketing as my primary tool for traffic generation and it has proven to be very effective for me. So take some time everyday to write an article to share your expertise with people and at the same time increase the traffic to your site.
