The Bonsai miniature rose tree is attracting enthusiasts with its beauty. Roses are extremely beautiful when in full bloom and despite looking so delicate ,they are quite strong. They are not so difficult to handle as one might presume. Bonsai miniature rose plants grow to a height of 5 inches ,or a little more, but the amount of pleasure they provide you with their beauty ,compensates for all the effort made.
You must give some special attention to your miniature roses when they're grown indoors to assure healthy growth and long life. Placing them in a window that receives ample sun during the day won't be enough light for your plant. You must look at the stems of your Bonsai miniature roses to determine if they're getting enough sunlight. If they need more light then they're currently receiving, you'll notice that the stems appear to reach or stretch outward, leaving a big space between the leaves and flowers. It may be necessary to move the plants to different windows throughout the day, following the movement of the sun.
As with many flowers, these roses require a great deal of moisture when theyre kept indoors. To provide humidity simply place the container of miniature roses in a bowl or a tray of pebbles and water. The small stones will keep the container above the water level which will prevent the soil from becoming soggy or waterlogged. When it slowly evaporates the water will provide the roses with extra humidity. However, if the house is really dry the owner can occasionally use a mist vaporizer.
Pests are likely to infect Bonsai miniature rose plants both indoors and outdoors. Whiteflies and spider mites commonly are drawn to indoor roses. By washing the tops and undersides of each leave, one can reduce the chances or even completely avoid damaging pests. To protect against whiteflies in particular, its best to use pest insecticide soap on the plants at least once a week. These products contain alcohol, which means that you must keep the Bonsai miniature roses out of light until the alcohol has completely dried.
You will need to move diseased roses away from your other plants so they will not get attacked as well. Depending on how serious the pests have attacked your roses, you may be able to cut back a section of the miniature roses. This will allow for regrowth and may even allow the plant to become fuller. The way to get wonderful looking rose blooms is to use a high potassium fertilizer. You will need to mix the fertilizer with water at a 1/4 strength ratio, then proceed to fertilize a minimum of once a week.
