The New Apostolic Church Is On The Rise. Here's How You'll Recognize It

Jul 25, 2008
There has been much talk about the Church and the New Apostolic Church that is on the rise. So I just wanted to share with you some of the distinguishing marks of the New Apostolic Church that is here and steadily revealing itself. So here we go.

1.The Church is United
It's very interesting to see the church in its present state. It is certainly not where it's supposed to be but like a wave coming into the shore it is on the rise to becoming everything that God intends for it to be. In previous years you could almost cut with a knife the division between denominations, but not so with the apostolic church coming on the scene.

This Church will be a Church united. A Church with one Head: Jesus Christ. A Church that is unified in Him, The Son of God.

This is the time for the prayer of Jesus in John 17 to come to its fruition. Here is an extract of that prayer that Our Lord prayed, "That they all may be one; as thou, Father art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou has sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them: that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.( John 17:21-23)"

The Church will be united in one in Him. No more divisions. All one in Jesus' Name. That's the Church that is being formed.

2.Ministry sees an explosion
You can already see the tide beginning to shift. Ministries are rising up all over the globe. New ministries are starting; older ministries are shifting from their old ways and are doing a new thing in the Lord. And these aren't only the status quo ministries that I'm referring to. I'm talking about ministries that are birthed by every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. For we all have the ministry of reconciliation (2Corinthians5:18-19).

The Lord Jesus Christ has appointed apostles , prophets, teachers, evangelists and pastors for the equipping of the saints to do the work of the ministry(Ephesians4:11-13). The Church that Christ will return to receive unto Himself will be the Church without spot or wrinkle- a glorious church.

It will be a church unified in love where each and every member will be doing its part- the work of the ministry, "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. Form whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.(Ephesians 14:16)"

3.Signs, Wonders and Miracles Following
Long gone will be the days when you have to wait for an evangelist to lay hands on the sick for them to recover.

Jesus in Mark 16:15-18 says, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

Listen, signs and wonders will follow everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ just as they followed the disciples. For the Lord will confirm His Word with signs following. "So then, after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.(Mark 16:19-20)."

This will be the norm in the new apostolic church. Get ready for it!

4.Out with the old one-man show and in with the new one man show.
No more will the church look to the status quo, "pulpit preachers" to do all the work, instead questions like this will be asked, "How can I help?" and "What am I not doing that I should be doing to further the cause of the Kingdom of God in all the earth?"

It will no longer be one Christian, but every member of the Body of Christ moving in harmony in one, in Jesus Christ, The Lord.

The Church built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets(as God intends, Ephesians 2:20) will position all the five-fold ministers, and indeed every member of the Body of Christ in their place in Christ, and equip them to function effectively. "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:13)"

5.Explosion in Kingdom Finances to Fund the Work
Yes, the Church will see an explosion in the area of finances to fund the work of the Lord. It is the Lord Our God who gives us the power to get wealth. And we will begin to use this wealth for the advancing of the cause of the Kingdom of God into all the earth. And I strongly believe that this is how it is going to come about. Just as God gave Solomon wisdom, we the Church of God need to ask God, Our Father for His Wisdom. And He will give it to us liberally and generously(James1:5).

When we keep His commandments and act in accordance with the Wisdom that He gives us, we will see the transferral of wealth that is so often talked about. "For God giveth to a man that is good in His sight wisdom, and knowledge and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap, that He may give to him that is good before God." Watch out, "For the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and He addeth no sorrow with it(Proverbs10:22)"

These are the just some of the distinguishing hallmarks of the up and coming new apostolic church. So really, all that is left for me to say is:
"Let God arise and Let His enemies be scattered (Psalm 68:1)."
