But losing weight does not have to be such an exhausting and difficult task. In fact, with a little discipline, persistence and a few changes in your habits it can be simple and easy indeed. There are many effective ways to lose weight. The beauty of the steps we list here are that they are realistic and easy to practice.

Here are the top five tips that would help you to lose weight very easily.

1. Drink More Water To Lose Weight: To stay healthy one has to drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Drinking more water is an easy and effective way to lose weight. Sweet soft drinks are heavily loaded with more calories. Water is calorie free and is good for health. If you want to lose weight remain fit drink water when you are thirsty and avoid sodas and soft drinks. Moreover water helps to flushing out the toxins from your system.

2. Say No To Alcohol: Alcohol is highly rich in carbohydrates and sugars. Both have very high calorie value. Alcohol, in addition to adding up extra calories, eats up the essential nutrition of the system. Alcohol acts against fat burning and makes the body to accumulate fat easily. If you are really serious about losing weight you should say no to alcohol. When you are in a celebration mood think of dancing and playing (or listening to music) instead of going for alcohol.

3. Stick To Low GI Diet: Glycemic Index lists foods according to their ability to burn fat. Foods with lower GI index help fat burning much better than the higher ranked foods. Moreover these low GI foods are very nutritious as well. One important likable feature of low GI foods is that you can have large amounts of them without being worried about adding up calories and accumulating fat. Much to your relief, your favorite foods like meat and dairy products have low GI ranking.

4. Cut Calories In Steps: When you wish to lose weight you may be tempted to cut the calories very drastically at one go. But reducing calories very rapidly is not for good health. It burns off all the available calories of the body and affects the body metabolism adversely. So when you are on the look out for a healthy lifestyle, reduce the calories in steps. This gradual calorie reduction helps to tone your body the healthy way.

5. Prefer Protein: Protein rich foods help burning fat quickly. Foods rich in protein content boost your metabolism. Protein rich diets help muscle building as well. To get better results from your workouts protein laden foods help. Protein rich foods may be rich in fat content as well. Take care to select fat free foods that are rich in protein content.

To lose weight you need not, rather should not go for one marathon workout session. Instead break up your exercise routine into small sessions. To make exercising interesting add variety to it by mixing it all up together-swim one day and jog the other day. Walk sometime and bike some other time.

All the above listed practices are very easy to adhere. Drinking more water is not at all difficult. Nevertheless it is a successful weight loss secret. Preferring low GI foods and protein rich foods can be easily incorporated in to your diet habits. For that, you need not have to sacrifice your tasty favorite foods and leave your taste buds longing.
