Boulder Skin Care: How to Heal Spider Veins on the Face

Jul 29, 2008
Vascular health can show decline with age in various areas on the body, including and most popularly in the legs. Veins do become more visible with time and patients will often find that they are easier to see as they age or gain weight. Weight gain can be a factor as can repeated sun exposure over the years.

One result of sun exposure over time is the need to heal spider veins in face, which develop as the skin ages due to exposure to the elements. Spider veins can form which are very small to larger sizes that are more readily visible to the eyes. Spider veins can be unsightly but usually do not necessarily cause any physical ailment. The body usually acquires these veins gradually over time so it may not be noticeable that they have formed until some time has gone by. They are predominately causes by the weakening of the vein's structure, the vein wall, and so blood flows into them but not out of them easily. To rid the face of such veins, many skin care professionals and vein doctors, also dermatologists are seeking out ways to break down the blood inside and then close the vein so that no blood may enter it again. This can be done with laser treatment for spider veins, which is a minimally invasive treatment.

Laser treatment to heal spider veins in face is an increasingly popular treatment option which involves the use of modern medical technology via lasers to cause veins to disappear in minimal time. Treatments are usually performed in under an hour's time and patients are then free to return to their daily activities such as work or other obligations. This can help the patient to incorporate laser treatment into their schedule somehow, with no prolonged hospital visits and short treatment times. Additionally, the side effects of laser use are rather minimal as well and patients will find that their skin is a bit red or swollen from the laser but nothing beyond that. Some soothing aloe vera gel may be applied as well, to help soothe any treatment areas since the face is a sensitive area. A trained vein doctor or dermatologist that is treating you can also advice what other measures may be taken to alleviate any possible discomfort.

To heal spider veins in face is a rather routine procedure and there are a number of clinics that either focus on skin or vein care, vein clinics or skin clinics, which patients can trust to fully remove these unsightly veins. It is important to note that the skin on the face is exposed to sunlight and other elements more than many areas, other than the hands, arms, and upper chest and neck areas. Due to this, it is important to make protecting this skin a priority so that patients can feel comfortable with the skin they are in. Premature sun damage is a major concern and many will find that their skin is in need of some rejuvenation as time goes by to keep it supple and firm. The natural aging process of the skin is nothing to fear yet to keep skin healthy, it is always a good idea to really focus on avoiding the sun and maintaining general health.
